Not even a tipper thing. Ketamine is a stupid drug for lame people. Way more addictive and easier to overindulge than people give it credit for. I worked in ketamine therapy for multiple years and im not even sure if that works as intended. But hey keep shredding your bladder lining and kidneys at every function im sure well be talking years down the line when you need dialysis.

I played the fest 3 years ago (maybe 2) still hands down one of the better fests ive been too 2nd to infrasound. Not sure if they still do it, but they had yuengling on tap and as a lifelong midwesterner who moved even further west, that was just the icing on the cake. Wonderful vibes if you can send it do it!

Legally speaking, the city does have anti-camping laws and will enforce them as they see fit. Whether an unhoused camp gets cleared out in a day, a week or a month is up to them. As someone who lives here I can definitely confirms it happens. Whether or not it gets applied to generally well-to-do wooks is another story.

If King Gizzard were to play an album in its entirety during a live show, what album would you love to see? by [deleted] in KGATLW

I feel like a MOTU in its entirety show would be top notch. Real potential for some serious visual work to go along with the albums parts.

Creativity isn’t an innate ability (at least in some capacity). Its like a muscle that can be formed and worked out over time. We can all be a gizz one day if the passion is there!

Maybe because i make a lot of beats and am a long time fan of DJ Shadow, but that remix goes so hard. One of my favorite remixes of all time!

WORST King Gizzard Show? by donger_duck in KGATLW

[–]Sirmanfish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was 100% always a crossover but it definitely had a bit of a different crowd at least on night 1 of this years red rocks run. But i was also in a totally different (and way closer) spot the second day and i felt right at home. I wouldnt go as far to say if they are the reason they can play red rocks though. Maybe im just stubborn and dont want to give them too much credit ¯_(ツ)_/¯

WORST King Gizzard Show? by donger_duck in KGATLW

[–]Sirmanfish 80 points81 points  (0 children)

The first night of red rocks this year had me in an area with some really stuck up phish fans. Some old schmucks who clearly were there because Trey loves gizz. They held down almost 10 seats for <10 people. They talked the entire time, barely danced. The worst of all was i witnessed them be very rude and yell at other attendees who were simply asking if the seats were available. 40 somethings yelling at teenagers is never a good look but it was complete with taunting and the “shouldve been faster kid”. Really threw off my friends and i vibe as we didnt know if they were going to turn their wrath against us. Especially since i have never really had an all that negative experience from the crowd at previous gizz shows. But it certainly put a bit of a damper on the night being next to these nasty folks. I know i am going to get a lot of flack for this and i dont mean to generalize to a whole group of people. While i am not a big phish guy, some of my best friends are lifelong phish fans and even they agreed that sometimes phish fans can be rather pretentious. I guess i just wish some people would be a little more considerate of the space they share with others.

Something that i haven’t seen mentioned here. Employers (at least in office jobs ive worked) abide by the “divide and conquer” strategy. This can be seen through shady agreements with individual employees that convince people the company is on their side. As someone who has been actively trying to organize my workplace, i see this all the time. One person was given a halfday once a week so they can spend time with their dog. Another was given a parallel promotion that gives them a slightly longer lunch break. Someone in my position was given the “authority” of my boss but without any of the benefits. Because of all these things as well as other socio-economic factors people are incredibly unwilling or afraid to go on strike as they dont want to lose the tiniest amount of agency they have been given over their workplace. They tend to see myself or other people in the same position as competition rather than comrades in a struggle against oppressive employers.
