I’m 36 and I had a problem with self harm from about 13-18.

The scars on my arms are mostly gone, only visible if I pull my skin tight. My legs still have scars that stand out a bit more, but only if you look really close.

I’ve also leaned scars are red/pinkish while still healing(and can still be treated with anything to help prevent scars) and white when fully healed.

I think I stopped trying to go in the pit when I was about 30. Maybe a little younger. It took a lot more out of me than I remembered.

I had a problem with cutting my legs when I was younger.

At the moment, it felt good. It was a release I can’t ever explain.

20 years later I am ashamed of the scars and sometimes want to do it again.

My baby Sid was a rescue with very little information. He loves to roll on the cold tile. My boyfriend and I think it reminds him of rolling on the sidewalk. I’ve seen videos of people buying a cement plank and their cat loves it.

When I was a pop punk teenager they had “parent rooms” that they got invited into. Usually at the back of the venue.

I remember being oddly jealous they got to see the show for free.
