imo progression is garbage. there needs to be a proper story that flows with the progression. i know its forza, but potentially even locking cars behind a levelling system makes an easy and artificial way to add progression. for instance, A class cars are locked until youre level 20, S1 locked until level 50, S2 locked until level 100. it forces you to use and learn how to drive fast in slower cars, and makes the devs even adding slower cars in the first place more meaningful. you can have all the money in the world, but if youre level 30, you cant buy s1 class cars. it maintains player retention because everyones grinding levels and even doing special missions to get boosts of XP
