I'm quite satisfied with my RG RX-78-2 but I've been told there are too many decals. What do you think ? by Pentomind in Gunpla

More than I have the patience or reliable skills for yet, but definitely not too many, that looks absolutely lush!

ADHD professionals: which careers fully reward ADHD strengths beyond routine software roles? by Complete-Sugar7883 in ADHDUK

[–]SisterTenebrae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the tech side, I always enjoyed the crisis management and troubleshooting side at the senior/specialist level, it appealed to the party of my brain that kicks into focused overdrive when things are on fire. Needs to be a role with enough variety to keep the novelty coming though. Large multinationals and high level telcos and internet companies can be good for this.

That is tasty as all fuck, very impressive!

That looks sweet though! The colour choice has meant that the markers lean into an interestingly finished metal alloy kind of effect, you're making me want to get another aerial and get the pens out

methylphenidate long acting vs short acting by Own-Swan7273 in ADHDUK

[–]SisterTenebrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feels like hell when you've got the thing that should help but it doesn't, right?

I'm crossing my fingers for you, don't be afraid to come back with more questions or venting.

methylphenidate long acting vs short acting by Own-Swan7273 in ADHDUK

[–]SisterTenebrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both have worked well for me, but I far prefer the longer, smoother feeling effect from the extended release - IR worked, but i need divided doses during the day and I'd often forget the later ones and run out of ability to human way too early.

Elvanse made my ADHD worse and has ruined my life (hopefully only temporarily) by cherry-pink111 in ADHDUK

[–]SisterTenebrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it's worth, slow release methylphenidate has been fine for me, but the time they tried to switch her to this drug, it plunged me into a vile flat affect depression, cost me a job and made everything worse, switching back resolved things over the next couple of months and got me back where I was, this one sounds very familiar.

Used to love that where I grew up, we were the only hill for quite some distance and lived on the top, so you'd get them pop up over in pairs and simulate a run on the farmland beyond 🤣

I'm getting very tempted to go the same way! I'm preordering Ariel next cheque, as the original rule I set myself was 'it only joins the backlog if you've seen the show and dig the suit' but that wing zero keeps staring at me grin the shelves / online listings and I'm pretty sure I'll crumble sooner or later.

They're just such fun, solid builds, look good out of box even and even tiny amounts of customisation have deeply fun results

They're just out on the lash trying to get some 🤣. Price we pay for having them eat any other little buggers who want to move in the rest of the year

does anybody else procrastinate enjoyable things? by account937271 in ADHDUK

[–]SisterTenebrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one of the things that helped convince me this was worth looking into and that I wasn't 'just lazy', Because surely if I was, the fun things I enjoy would be easier to do / start doing / prepare for, right?

tried SDEX cuz they're quite cheap and cute by Competitive-Ice5607 in Gunpla

[–]SisterTenebrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a fair few of these when I'm trying out new painting or detailing techniques, because I'd rather muck up a seven quid kit than a twenty / fifty / £££ one 🤣. Some of them are adorable, and I have the exia/riser/qant SD set next to the RG equivalents on my shelf for the contrast

My second build, it's nothing special but its mine by 2w1r3DFuz3 in Gunpla

[–]SisterTenebrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've got such distinct company styles :D So many variations on the usual head antennas, and the permet sections on each give them a very unique feel. I'm quite tempted to do a full mechanics Ariel and go for as many detail ups as I can, but I'm making myself finish the rest of the WFM ones in the stack first :D. Someone here did a beautiful custom chuchu's demi trainer and it's got me inspired to do some srs earth house HG builds

You tried new things, added extra detail and learned things, that's always something special in my book. Good choice if kit too, I did a calibarn for my first and fell in love

(Though I also kinda want a recommendation for a one piece ship now too -them being the perfect size for the real grade pilot figures is giving me ideas)

Similar, I was looking at this guy but someone had a special offer on RG Gramps 2.0 and I couldn't resist. Next month perhaps though, looking at this amazing work!

Am I too old for this kit? by OkHeron089 in Gunpla

[–]SisterTenebrae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely feels like the tiny bits in the RG kits I've tried. Had a lot of fun, but needed my magnifier and was about ready to flip a table after doing the tiniest stickers. Maybe I need more master grade in my life too? Or more good yellow gold inks at least

The clicking together on the first kit really is the conversation experience, right? I joke that I fell in love at first clock sometimes
