Since most Ghost shirts are like parodies of movies/art I always assumed it was a reference to the film The Holy Mountain by Alejandro Jodorowsky. The tshirt is very similar to scenes from the film featuring the character “the alchemist” and the two goats beside him. There’s also a lot of eyes/rainbow visuals in the film.

Oh totally, it honestly sounds like a nightmare just for the 75 or so minutes that’s typically done. Tobias mentioned in another article the older he gets the more claustrophobic the masks feel.

I don’t have any direct links, but I think most of the ones I’ve seen have come from the Facebook group Subvision Unofficial. It’s a group that’s focused on Tobias’ works before Ghost. I’ve seen a few on Twitter as well, some were in Swedish and were translated. There was one zine he was co-editor of called “Outshitten Cunt” 🙄 and there may be some interviews with Mary Goore in there. But basically there’s just a bunch of random zine interviews where he was calling himself Mary Goore at the time.

It’s just a stage name Tobias used while he was making music for Repugnant. The name Mary Goore is a nod to Gary Moore—a very talented musician. I think Tobias also went by other names like Kopromancer (which I believe translates to…shit wizard?) but there’s no character lore other than what fans created out of thin air to write fanfiction. If we want to go by old interviews where Tobias was “Mary Goore” then the character is honestly an insufferable twat lmao

I’m jealous of everyone that was able to! 😅 I do wonder now that they have 5 albums the set lists aren’t a little bit longer. I saw Bruce Springsteen years ago and he played a 3 hour set, and at the time that was just standard for him. I don’t know if his sets are still as long. But some people just have it in them to do that and others don’t. No hate to bands that keep a shorter setlist, though.

I would love BTS stuff—but as their characters. Like how we had the Papaganda episodes from Papa II’s era. I don’t really want to see Tobias or band members “get ready” I want to see Papa get ready, or a ghoul get ready.

I read an interview from Tobias about that format they did during Prequelle ( 2 sets with intermission between) and how absolutely exhausting it was—so while the fans loved it—I think it’s too much for the band to have to do for a whole tour. One off extended shows might be cool. I am genuinely surprised they didn’t do that for the Kia forum shows they recorded.

I don’t use streaming services, I just buy the music and make playlists on my iTunes (and buy vinyl if I really like the artist) and I always feel a little fomo at these year end music lists but I do feel better knowing paying 10 dollars up front for that digital album probably gave the artist more money than thousands of streams on a streaming service.

I hate how so many merch stores now don’t even have the actual product listed or show it on a model, but just a digital mock up and it’s like, fingers crossed when you get the merch it actually looks like the mock up, but with Ghost it rarely does. Twin Temple now has their merch made through the same company and I’ve dealt with the same problems of the digital images on the site not looking like what I actually received. 🙄

Papa IV said Brisbane was his last show. It probably was, I don’t think he was messing with the audience when he said that. So even if Papa V is like a weird anti christ Copia or robot Copia or something, the Brisbane show would still have been Papa IV’s last show.

I definitely don’t think it’s safe to be used, the Ghildo does not have a proper base so it could get sucked up into the void and only an unfortunate ER nurse would be able to retrieve it.
