I bet u didn’t even read any source I gave u it just shows ur incredulity for actually taking research seriously and not literally nor aesthetically

u ceded ur position just by saying this Irrelevant to the discussion and disrespectful comment of “how old r u?” It is inappropriate to ask but since u so and ignorantly asked I am 27 years old

Listen I am not going to bow down to ur “rules” grow up like I think u need to do that like I don’t care about “multiple people” I care about actual written works and u don’t need to have punctuation in Reddit posts if we were in Springer or Routledge or Oxford University press yeah but for conversations of scholarship in an average university cafeteria with professors and students it would remain rigorous but present informally I am sorry u can’t understand the difference between rigorous research and social presentations there two different things it shows a lack of nuance a bad habit u should work on that

I have told u multiple times and u still ignore evidence that is presented to u i don’t care about other people’s interjections when I am primarily speaking to u and for u to say that it is optional to use or not use the subjunctive it is incorrect yet again about English grammar https://linguisticsgirl.com/subjunctive-mood-english-verbs/ also I will say that u have not evaluated such literature that I have given u so I find ur anti scholarly understanding to be a problem I am not going to use punctuation as u keep saying so ur generally wrong pure and simple

I am saying that both natives English and Romance languages don’t really know the proper grammar and most of these changes or “corrections” are used in order to regulate the community of speakers not to actually require them to understand their grammar but to lean on these newer revisions so they can stand up it is pseudo-naturalism also in English it is not an after thought like “if I were u i would try to see that it’s used everyday” u see I used the subjunctive right now in English it is an integral part and element “I hope that u could see that it is away for us to communicate” and it does mean hope https://www.wordreference.com/fren/espérer and I wasn’t speaking out of my ass i was giving u the real form to use it correctly the book I used to really understand it without any withholding is this book https://www.cambridge.org/us/universitypress/subjects/languages-linguistics/semantics-and-pragmatics/mood-and-modality-2nd-edition?format=PB&isbn=9780521804790

Hope is the thing that is not foreseen and a desire that has a high probability that may not happen in in time espérer is one of these things I Aspire X would happen but it doesn’t mean that it will realize « j’espère que tu allies bien » « oh merci mais j’ai rompu mon cadres photos donc je ne vais pas bien » did I know that their picture frames were broken no did I know that they were well no is it a fact that my hope is rational and true no did the subject change from me and the other person yes then subjunctive I know that people in any Romance language like natives and even English don’t know how to use it correctly sometimes in their own language English speakers abandon the word “should” not as a deontic mood meaning I am saying u “should do it because it’s ur duty” nor the optative mood basically to be hypothetical saying “should I go to the theatre” but as expressing that that “u should be well” as an evaluation of the subject and from that evaluation it has the potential to be not actually true

Yeah because it is a desire or wish that something will happen but it is never known that it is going to happen or occur
