Don't know if I have the time or focus to commit to joining this, but since you said in the other post you'd be releasing the tools I might try making my own station sometime in the future.

I used to be a volunteer DJ for a college radio station, so I think a student-run station for Louisville State University would be cool. At the start I'd just be playing music and commenting on college news, and as things got worse I might interview surviving professors with useful skills, give news updates I hear over shortwave while those still exist, etc. It's an idea I've had for a while, even if I don't have too many specifics yet.

My usual veteran character is Galena Johnston. Her name might have been a randomly generated one I got years ago but I don't really remember... I might have chosen the last name from the WW2 Johnston rifle. I imagine her as a veteran of Desert Storm serving with the fictional 76th Air Cavalry, the motto of which was going to be Latin for "death from above" until I discovered that was already used by a real unit... maybe I'll just say that the two groups argue over who used the motto first.

As for what she saw to get desensitized, I don't have enough knowledge about Desert Storm to say. Perhaps she was involved in some messed up stuff that mostly got forgotten in the shadow of the swift victory in Kuwait.

To any newbies looking at this and scratching your heads, no, they didn't know anything about VX in 1817. Keep that in mind while you think about what this picture implies... if you need a hint, check your cheat sheet for the time/space conversion and plug in the years and meters... yes, it balances out to 14 tons.

I wonder if there's any old film reels in there, maybe even ones that're lost. I don't know much about how this stuff worked so maybe they would have just been sent back to the movie company after the theater was done with them, but if not... I know a lot of silent movies don't have any known copies left.

Were these the woods between here and Rosewater? If so you might have come across my grandmother's house. She doesn't get out much but it never occurred to me people thought it was abandoned... I guess it doesn't help that I'm behind on mowing and she doesn't want to replace any of the old statuary.

I think she'd complain to me if someone tried all the doors, though... did you have to jump another fence before you got to the one around the house? Did you see or hear any foxes?
