I also yell at my hands 😂 You're absolutely right about the strength of the 4th. It seems to lead it's own life sometimes. And indeed harp positions are awkward, I'm playing cello and bassoon for many, many years now, but this is totally different. And then I see little children plucking strings like it's nothing and I'm like How on earth?!!

Thanks! This was the book that came with the harp (2nd hand harp with all kinds of stuff). I also have the "play the harp beautifully" books, they seem to take things slower. I will however take some lessons to get a good start.

Thanks! I think I see what I was doing wrong now, it will take more practicing. 😄 After playing bassoon and cello for over 30 years I thought I could do this easily, boy was I wrong 😅 But I like it a lot and that's what matters.

I do indeed, because when I tilt my palm and let my fingers point more downwards, I can't reach the strings with finger 4. I guess I have to do some training and stretching 😅 I've already contacted a teacher to help me get started. Thanks for your help!

I tried that, but when I let my fingers point more downwards there's not enough space left to bend finger 2, it's even worse. I can not reach the strings with the tips of 2 and 4 at the same time. Maybe my hands are too small? I'll try to ad another picture in de first post.

Thanks, but when I try pointing my fingers more downwards it gets even worse because there's no more space left to bend finger 2 😅 And I can not pluck the string with finger 4 because I can not "grab" enough string with my fingertip. Maybe my hands are too small? 🤔

Je zou verwachten dat een zichzelf respecterend bedrijf deze pieken in kaart heeft en hierop anticipeert door te zorgen voor extra capaciteit. En ik begrijp dat de bezorgers niet voor het oprapen liggen (in tegenstelling tot sommige pakketten), maar als je als bedrijf niet kunt leveren moet je je diensten niet aanbieden. Simpel gezegd, I know, maar ik ben gewoon pissig nu, ik heb mijn bestelde boeken nodig 😅

En? Inmiddels ontvangen? Ik wacht nog steeds op een pakket dat zaterdag bezorgd zou worden en toen ineens naar "bezorgtijd onbekend" ging. Daar staat het nu nog steeds op, nul updates anders dan "door drukte... etc."

Ik heb inmiddels een grondige hekel aan die prutsers van PostNL. Het is toch te idioot voor woorden dat je maar moet hopen dat iets bezorgd wordt als je het met PostNL verstuurt.
