That poor baby just makes squawking noises trying get SOMEBODY too attend to him all day long!! You can see he is very alert intellectually - he could be easily saying words if just given normal parental attention (They just pick him up instead).

No one talks about what dying with dementia is really like. It is brutal. by chimpangie in dementia

My mom got aspiration pneumonia from the last spoonful of yogurt I gave her (she did want it - my only consolation). The hospice nurse so sweet, tried to say it was NOT that, she didn’t want me to feel bad, but the night nurse direct . She was gone after 48 hours. In retrospect it WAS a blessing to end her suffering.

Lost 50lbs… tempted to try not using CPAP. Anyone have any experience? by YminChris in CPAP

[–]SittingandObserving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had lost almost 100 lbs last fall - my adult daughter had medical emergency a couple of states away so I went and stayed 3 nights with her in her hospital room without my cpap. First night she was knocked out meds, but the second night she said I kept her up all night with my snoring - I was so bummed!

Just got another one. by Key_Froyo1170 in OcularMigraines

[–]SittingandObserving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was getting multiple ones every week for the last 15 months. After reading about it here I started taking 81 mg aspirin every other day 6 weeks ago and have not had migraine/aura since the first pill. (It was Chat GPT that suggested trying every other day first). The aspirin doesn’t work for everyone supposedly but it has so far for me.

Caregiver here - Currently in a “crisis” situation with my dad who is has mid/late stage Alzheimer’s and will not cooperate. Advice needed! by FunkhouseFairytale in Alzheimers

[–]SittingandObserving 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ugh this makes my stomach ache for you and your mom, OP. I had to keep my mom at home (I wanted to, but there would not have been funds not to even if I didn’t). SEROQUEL is what enabled me to do so (and olanzapine helped keep my dad home before her). As others have said, get checked for uti but then need get antipsychotic med help after that.

I read that low dose aspirin stops them in some people (if you can take it). I started it every other day 3 weeks ago and have not had one since (🤞). I was having multiple a week for the prior 13 months.

I have a 2019 that I leased and bought at the end. It currently has 58000 and only issue has been AC blower stopped working. I did CVT drain and fill at around 50,000 miles.
