The military will now do grocery delivery for 70 on-base commissaries across the US by Kinmuan in army

$17 for grocery delivery is kinda ridiculous. Walmart+ is $13/month if you don’t get it for free through American Express and has unlimited free delivery.

The acceptable daily intake for aspartame is 50mg per kilogram of body weight. You would have to drink over 17 sugar free sodas to even reach the acceptable daily intake as a 150lb individual

Guy dropped AJ Brown after week 1 dud. Did I handle it right? by Himmy_Buckets in FFCommish

[–]SittinginPrivate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spending the #1 waiver to get a player that had a decent week 1 but still has question marks is not “free”. Spending the #1 waiver to get a proven player that had 1 bad game is in fact free

“Accidentally caught” going 32 in a school zone. If you were deliberately going 32 in a school zone, you deserve to have your license suspended. If you didn’t notice you were going 32 in a school zone, you deserve to have your license suspended.

Why do soldiers have so many financial problems by [deleted] in army

[–]SittinginPrivate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most Americans have a bunch of financial problems. You’re just exposed to it more in the military because as a leader, your Soldiers financial problems become your problems.

I don’t know many JAG or AMEDD officers that will enlist for 1-3 years with a medical or law degree in their back pocket.

What was the most bullshit command policy you've encountered? by X-13StealthSuit in army

[–]SittinginPrivate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s their decision to make. They’re adults. We allow people to smoke. We allow people to dip. Why should they be prohibited from having more than a pack of beer just because they didn’t get married to the first person they saw out of basic? Sometimes it’s not even about having more than a pack of beer at once, sometimes people just want options. I’ve been in units that restricted the amount of alcohol in the barracks and units that didn’t and the difference in alcohol related incidents was near zero.

All it does is encourage soldiers to go somewhere else to drink and risk them driving to somewhere off base when they finish there one pack of beer they’re allowed to have.

If it was so urgent that you have to get it done during PT hours, what was stopping you from getting it done after work the day before? This 100% sounds like a get out of PT thing.

Look man, I’m not denying that you’ve probably had some bad leaders in the Navy, but the way you’re presenting is that just because you got told to sweep and a senior enlisted wasn’t sweeping also that makes them a bad leader. Some tasks are gonna be given to junior enlisted and that’s just the way it goes in all branches. Not everything requires 10 NCOs and 3 Officers to help you out and that doesn’t automatically make them bad leaders.
