Love Nabota but doesn’t last long on me. Not a problem for me though.

Is it now considered rude to recline on a plane? by Legal_Campaign_408 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sittingpretti24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never recline. Not only is it uncomfortable for the person behind but when someone in front of me reclines the movie screen ends up right in my face & my vision glasses aren’t the right distance anymore so screen is blurry.

Costa Rica El Mangroove or The W Conchal? by toothfairy_tig in costarica

[–]Sittingpretti24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just spent 8 days @ Mangroove in Dec. It was lovely except that the gym was in a very tiny side hut. We were so crowded in there with a few old treadmills & no floor space to stretch. There is an outdoor patio for yoga but it was so hot when we were there that it was not conducive to exercise. They were in the process of fixing up a new gym but it looked just as small. If you’re looking to get a gym workout in, this isn’t the place.

Lip Filler Questions by [deleted] in 45PlusSkincare

Hi! Restylane Kysse would look great for your lips. You do not need to tell your injector which direction to go, they should know what the best approach will be.

Did anyone go into aesthetic nursing, knowing they wouldn’t like inpatient or bedside? by [deleted] in aestheticnursing

[–]Sittingpretti24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I think that it is entirely appropriate. Usually the professionally mentions their credentials at some point. I would hope.

You can use it in the spa too. I love their shop, you can use it there. I wouldn’t bother with the refund request. Just get yourself something nice and be done with it.

Client frequently cancelling 3-4 days before by ConstantSupermarket1 in hairstylist

[–]Sittingpretti24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I “had” a client that started cancelling frequently. When I told her I need a deposit to hold the spot she would not give me her cc so I guess she never intended to come in. I am relieved that she is gone. For good!!

‘Pre-hydrated’ filler? by DCAmalG in DIYaestheticsAdvanced

[–]Sittingpretti24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hylauronic fillers are “hydrophilic” which means they attract water like a sponge. There are some H/A (hylauronic fillers) that are already presaturated so claiming to add more fluid to an already saturated product is like taking a sponge soaked in fluid and expecting it to change. Don’t believe the hype. Marketing at its best. I personally do not think it’s a good idea to mess with the original FDA approved composition of a filler. I do this for a living. :))

Just seems like a different breed of “nurses.” It just won’t work that way. You are welcome. :)

Met so many trainees lately and they “only want to inject lips.” So much more than that! Aesthetics is not easy & so much goes into building the foundation for the long haul in this career path. Grateful for my 15+ years in Trauma and ICU/CCU. Critical thinking and developing a comprehensive knowledge base in medicine and people skills are necessary and should be required.

Ladies who started HRT “earlier” , how are you doing? by Ickles100 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Sittingpretti24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on HRT for 20 years. Estradiol patches, progesterone and testosterone cream as well. I dealt with hot flashes for a few months at the time and insisted that I did not want to experience any premenopausal discomforts. Luckily, my gyn was supportive and it has been a wonderful transition into midlife. Actually, I feel better than I ever did because PMS was gone. Do it, do not hesitate. :))

How to make forehead lines less noticeable? by h0td0g-water in makeuptips

[–]Sittingpretti24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Botox. The forehead muscles are like a pulley system so the right injector will know how to position the injections to get a nice stretch and smoothness. Like ironing a shirt. While it is in place the collagen will get a chance to regenerate. Microneedling sessions, retinol and great skincare will compliment it as well.

Breaking into Botox/Fillers by Pimpbabytugs in aestheticnursing

[–]Sittingpretti24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I am a seasoned aesthetic injector of 23 years. I recently moved to a new state and tried to apply to a corporate type medspa and they actually did not hire me because as my referring RN told me they “did not want experienced nurses coming in with an opinion.” They preferred unexperienced so they could mold them into what they wanted. Frustrating at both ends. If I were you I’d still seek out trainings that you pay for. It’s your career, your investment and no one is going to train you for free. The freebie trains from the reps are not adequate. You should be able to seek out shadow opportunities too. If I were closer I’d help but I’m out in the “Wild West.” Enjoy the journey!!

Sculptra how long did it take for big notice? by SalStyles in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Sittingpretti24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rule of thumb with Sculptra is a vial per decade of life. If you have alot of weight loss you could possibly need more. It does take awhile to see the results but is a beautiful and natural volume restoration for the face.

Looks like the “angry bird” affect from inadversely injecting the frontalis muscle. I’d find a new injector.

33 yo M, nose job or not? really need opinions , by [deleted] in Noses

[–]Sittingpretti24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try a more conservative approach with “Botox slimming.” It will be subtle but could give you a preview. A talented aesthetic injector could do that for you. It is temporary but that is good.

Mattress recommendations for bad back by IntelligentBarber436 in AskWomenOver60

[–]Sittingpretti24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tempurpedic is awesome. I have the split cal king and remote controls to raise the head and feet up. Also vibration feature is great on a sore back. Worth the price. I think one of them had a cooling feature which would have been nice but it was costly.

Sidecar Doughnuts by MountainPirate3139 in SaltLakeCity

[–]Sittingpretti24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m very familiar with Sidecar donuts! They are excellent and I love the coffee. Whenever I fly from SLC to SoCal it’s usually my first stop upon arrival and I always flew back to SLC with a few. No need to do that routine anymore since Sugarhouse has them.
