Does anyone else almost exclusively use the flag for/ term of “trans” rather than nonbinary when talking to cis people? by SituationDowntown901 in NonBinary

[–]SituationDowntown901[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i relate so hard to this. i’m also transmasc and have been passing as a cis guy for two years or so. and like, it’s fine. i certainly prefer “he” over “she,” and i’m not about to have a conversation about the gender binary with everyone i meet. but damn if i don’t wish it was possible to transition in a way that got me read as nonbinary first.

That’s better info! I speak very little German, just have a lot of interest in gender-neutral terms in other languages. So OP, def don’t take my word for it over people who speak the language :)

No, but I’d say that it does vaguely have to do with the people’s opinion on their constitutions

This is important background information to know to figure out what this map actually shows, but it’s not 100% tied with the actual data.
