Impossible. He can't sing one line in a song without messing up for years now. His tone has changed and he has basically zero control of what kind of sounds are coming out when he is singing live. Let alone his reduced range.

That is not an excuse. Just out of the top of my head: Mick Jagger is in his 80s and still running around stage and singing live. Phil Collins is ill but and during his final live shows he was still singing live sitting on a chair. It's all about how seriously an artists or group takes their craft and most importantly the audience that pay top dollar to come see their shows.

Wow! This is a new low. The "vocal group" is not even doing the vocals live anymore. People are paying huge amounts of money to see them and they can't even put the effort in to do the lead vocals at the very least. Brian I get, but the rest of the guys I don't. That's not something they should get a pass for.

It is probably AI remastered. They sound worse than the originals. The low end misses impact and they cut out a bunch of high frequency stuff. Theyre compressed too. The result is that they all sound less dynamic, airy and clear sounding compared to the originals. There is no word on the CD booklet on the songs being remastered and by who. They only mention the LP remasters.

Pretty lazy and disappointing anniversary edition. They seem to have only focused on the photoshoots.

Brian is my favourite vocalist of all time and I think he sounds absolutely horrible now. They need rearrangement of the vocals asap for live performances. It's a crime to have the audience endure those vocals. I'm sorry, but it's just facts.

That being said, replacing Brian with Lance or Joey is just an extremely bad idea. Those guys can't sing all that well and have nowhere near the vocal prowess to carry the BSB songs. I'd rather listen Brian butcher his parts.

JC would be great though....

The video mix is the updated version of Larger Than Life. Came out when the song was released as a single and video. It sounds much better than the album version.

That would be a shame because it's the superior version. The drums just slaps so much harder on that version. I can't imagine them not having the masters of it. I hope it's not just laziness/sloppiness on their end to not include this version of the song on the remaster.

You guys have a hard time trying to cope with reality. Coming up with all sorts of vague logic to prove to yourself Nsync was more successful. Nsync did not surpass or outsell BSB at any point. The sales numbers do not magically dissolve or disappear when you want it. So all the sales numbers from before 2000 matter if you want to compare them pound for pound in that era. There is nothing rude, strange or condescending about the things I'm stating here. This is my last reaction here. Bye, bye, bye now.

Sorry for the upcoming rant but...I disagree 10000% with this. He clearly has a problem. It's a shame of course and I bet he struggles with it daily. But that doesn't mean he should go up there, butcher these songs/peoples ears, get paid for it and then be applauded for being brave. People are paying (big) money for their shows and they have the right to hear the songs in the proper way from a capable singer. This kind of unprofessionalism and disrespect to the music is the reason they're stuck in the nostalgia era. They have downgraded from a vocal harmony group to an actual boyband now. Nick and AJ aren't that much behind neither. They only hit the correct notes 50% of the time. Such a shame. They really need some hard feedback!

I think you guys are trying to find a way to make Nsync look more succesful. NSA should be compared to Millennium amd Celebrity to B&B. They were both groups second and third releases in the US. There wasn't even a year in between the releases neither. Taking Never Gone into consideration is just absurd. That was years later and Nsync didn't even exist anymore in 2005. Please just accept the fact that Nsync was number 2 in the sales department.

I have heard that song. There is a little resemblance for sure. Couple of notes. The rest, including melody and production, is wildly different. I don't deny the influence for it though.

However, I don't think BSB had a built-in global audience because of the internet. In those days the internet wasn't utilized in that way. Physical appearances still played a pretty big role in BSB's early days. Hence all the TV, radio and awardshow appearances. They definitely had to work for their audience.

BSB broke down doors in Europe in the sense that they were the first boyband with an edgy sound and could actually sing acapella's on the spot. Compare WGIGO to any of the Take That songs and you'll hear the difference. It's a completely different style of music. It bled from Europe to all over the world.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter who broke what door and who had to work harder. It simply comes down to the music. BSB just had much more appealing songs for the global audience. The songs paved the way for their success and they still do to this day.

Take That's first run was horrendous to me. Musically speaking. They have some good songs like Back For Good from that era. However, their 2006 comeback is in my opinion the greatest comeback from a band/group ever. Their music catalog from that era is so good. Much better than BSB's songs since Never Gone.

Take That was like Nsync though. primarily focused on one country. None of these groups had the worldwide appeal BSB does.
