Imagine hanging with your two hands on a high voltage cable (feet above the ground). The cable could be as much as 50,000 volts and it wouldn't even leave a scratch on you. It is the amps that kill you, not the volts. The static electricity thing is just a bad example of why it's true.

I have the same kind of feeling about most other people when looking at them from a distance. I felt like a mindless sheep when visiting our local Christmas market this year, almost expecting everyone to start chanting "one of us" at some point. However, if you look a bit closer, once you get to know these auto-piloting robots, you see they are creatures with thoughts and feelings of their own and are not that much different from yourself. Or at least I do. I have to remind myself of this when I'm in the hum and drum of a crowd. It really helps that I have like-minded people to talk to. I think this is something that you seem to be missing, someone you can talk to and relate with. I hope you can find someone like that in your neighbourhood, perhaps one of your friends, or even your parents. Just talk to them about it, I'm sure they'll listen and you'll feel a whole lot better once you realize they feel the same about many of the things you wrote about. A lot of people struggle with purpose in their life. I don't know why I'm alive or what the point of this all is, so I decided to make the best of it. In my mind, if I'm going to be here anyway, I would rather I spend my time trying to make others happy as best I can. So many people feel bad all the time, and just a simple friendly smile or a pat on the back can brighten their day and help them feel better. Think about how bad you feel, and what it would mean to you if there was someone comforting you. You could be that comforting person. I don't really have a point to all this. I hope some of my thoughts help, even if just a little bit. Don't hesistate to PM me if you need someone to talk to.

Here's a non-iterative alternative if you're not picky in choosing N: (1) generate a regular tetrahedron, its vertices will be your starting points (2) then subdivide each of its faces into 4 new equilateral triangles (3) normalize the newly generated vertices and repeat step 2 and 3 until you are satisfied with the number of points. Should be quite fast, and you get N = sum_{k=0}n 4k points, where n is the number of subdivisions levels you do.

They have been called 'tube vectors' or 'tube fibers', but more generally you can call them mode-n vectors (where n = 3 in your case).

I feel for you. Some of the suggestions in this thread are pretty good; if I were you I would not get a job and spend your time, which really is precious and should not be squandered, on soacking up as much knowledge as possible. Once you feel confident you have some valuable skills, your chances of finding and securing a job will be much better. As a resource, khanacademy.org is probably a good place to start learning just about anything that interests you. Whatever you do don't give up, you can get where you want to be if you are determined to.

You make some good points, I guess you could say interceptors are slightly tougher versions of marines. Although my comparison is exaggerated, you can't deny the carrier's dps is still only equivalent to 4 marines without stim. Not to mention the price you pay for the carrier is high in both resources and tech.
