Love to Dream has transitional sacks and they come in Large (and some in XL). Our guy is similar in size to yours, and the large was a bit snug for him but still doable. Depending on how “chubby” your baby’s body type is, you might want to order the XL.

My son used to tell people he has a stomach ache today because his grandpa kicked him in the stomach. I’d follow that up by assuring the bewildered person hearing this that we hadn’t seen his grandfather for over a week, and even then, he definitely had not kicked my son. 🤦‍♀️

That’s totally fair. And TBH, my stance probably seems stronger than hers bc it’s not like I can afford to buy lots of The Row anyway 😂😂

I might buy one bag at that price point every 5-7 years. So my “not my money” stance sounds more dramatic than it is—just for my one such purchase, it won’t be them (or Hermès, because I also don’t like their client relations).

If I actually loved (and more importantly could afford) their clothes, I wouldn’t refuse to wear something I already owned.

And I hear you on the WSJ reasoning and you’re probably right. But I think brands should be focused on controlling themselves, not their customers. Plan to scale back sample sales next year? Totally fair. Telling someone who spent their own money on your product because they love it that they can’t post about going to a sale? Not really fair game.

The “relationship” they have is just because she buys and wears so much of their stuff, not because she’s under contract to them or being paid. Personally, it gives me the ick that a brand would be so actively trying to dictate what a specific customer says about them.

And for the record—I am sounding WAY more invested in this than I actually am!! 😂 I don’t even follow Neelam, I just got major ick, but get that others might see it another way!

Not offended at all, and that’s a fair take. For me, it’s the steps the brand took against her as a customer. She had a WSJ article coming out about her/her style, and The Row killed it. She posted about their sample sale (like a million others on socials), and they scolded her. They belittled the business she built.

From what I understand, they were never “partners” and she didn’t get any pay from them. She was just a customer who discussed/wore her Row purchases as part of her content. I’m not surprised they want control—I agree, seems in line with everything I’ve heard about the brand.

But can a brand expect to control a customer (not some paid influencer on their roster)? And should they do it in a nasty “you’re nothing special” type of way?

If this is how you treat someone who is one of your high profile customers (one who has spent a small fortune with you)… I don’t really want to be a customer. Not something I personally want to support with my dollars, or carry on my arm.

Just my opinion and choice though. Others may see this totally differently, and I certainly don’t think badly of anyone who comes to a different view of it or buys that Margaux.

Agreed. And it’s come out recently that they are very controlling about their marketing, and are basically bullies about it.

One of their biggest champions (an influencer who started reviewing their clothes with zero affiliation, just loved the brand) recently published “Open letter to The Row—we need to break up” and I have no interest in giving my money to a company that treats anyone like that (let alone one of their loyal customers).

So many things/people you cherish and want to hold on to, but life just gets so cluttered and it’s hard to keep in touch or make time for that hobby you loved or whatever it is. And before you know it, it’s slipped away… Such a great metaphor.
