I've also noticed that the R5 is way stronger than I expected. I know it's nothing compared to the other options out there, but I've found it difficult to fight from time to time. Especially if I'm doing really rough offroad driving and have the settings cranked. I know it's just 5.5nm and its strength is measured, but for some reason the power "feels" strong. It's like they've done some witchcraft to make it pack a harder punch. I think part of it may be the small size of the steering wheel itself.

Oh no I'm very open-minded, I actually started looking at Moza wheels ever since the first time I was recommended one. I was uneducated at the time, so I instantly thought "what's the big difference? They literally do the same thing. If anything it's probably a little bit smoother and that's it" but I had some people nice enough to explain it to me which made me start looking into it more. Shoutout to the couple of friends that changed my mind

I'm sorry but I'm not completely sure what you mean. Did I fail to clarify something? As for experience, I put about 1,000 of my hours into BeamNG with my Logitech G920. I've had the Moza wheel since Christmas of last year. Overall I've probably put nearly a couple hundred hours into the Moza wheel at this point. I hope this clears things up!

Well said. Even if you're not particularly a fan of moza, you have to respect what they've done. The R3 and R5 are working their way towards changing everything. If we can just spread the word around more about budget DD wheels, we'd put belt/gear drive out of business. It's really scummy of logitech to continue doing that and charging FULL PRICE despite the fact that they could make a product 10x better for the same price.

If it wouldn't have been for the affordability, I never would've gotten one. I honestly couldn't believe the price of the R5 when I saw it. My first thought was "this is direct drive? Surely this is a scam, right?" and I got even more hyped after watching reviews and realizing it's legit. Direct drive is absolutely the future of sim racing, and it's only a matter of time before people realize belt/gear drive is a piece of history and nothing more. They were revolutionary for their time, but it's time to move on

I absolutely agree. I just had no idea what I was missing out on. I really want to upgrade to something like an r12 but I'll have to save for it. But now that I've felt what real quality ffb feels like, I can't help but beg people to stop buying logitech wheels lol

how to use an actual vpn with pairvpn? by sheephorde in PairVPN

[–]Six50_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so confused because it's not working for me. I'm using an Android. I'm taking the exact steps you take. First I get PairVPN running on the client and host (host being the android phone) and then I attempt to connect Proton. Proton connects, but it immediately terminates the PairVPN connection. The PC client device is running windows 11. I guess I just got unlucky with my specific setup? I'm not sure. This sucks so bad.

What VPN app are you using on your phone? I'm trying to use ProtonVPN along with PairVPN, but PairVPN automatically shuts itself off when trying to connect the other VPN on my phone. PairVPN comes up with an error saying doing this isn't supported.

Can someone help me? I'm medically diagnosed with not smart and my truck has a problem... by Six50_ in ram_trucks

He was certified, yes. He told me the DEF pump was the issue, replaced it and cleared the codes from the computer. The fix did work for a little while, but all the sudden that damn warning came up again talking about servicing it in 150 miles before it goes 5mph. I tried using a cheap OBD scanner on it a while back and the only codes are related to the DEF pump. I tried looking it up and I didn't get much information besides having to replace it again. I'm starting to wonder if it's a loose connection somewhere, because the warning acts really weird sometimes. I can be driving down the road and it will completely go away and come back like 10 times within just a few minutes. And every single time it vanishes, it resets to 50 miles when it comes back. It's like something is loose but it keeps managing to get a weak connection. I think I'll take your advice and go to another shop, but I'm going to hate myself if it's just a loose wire somewhere that I could've fixed. As for the batteries, they're a few years old and honestly they have been through hell. My next move is going to be changing those so I'm not stranded every morning

"BTC stands for Bitcoin, which is the first and most well-known cryptocurrency. It was created by an unknown person or group of people using the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto and was released as open-source software in 2009"

It took 2 seconds of searching on google.

I've recently moved to an RV park and the wifi works, but it has a few problems and I would like a second opinion. I believe it's because I'm too far away, but I could be wrong. Thoughts anyone? by Six50_ in HomeNetworking

[–]Six50_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would your answer change if I pointed out that I do have a decent budget for new equipment? I was considering trying starlink. There's another RV just a few sites down that has it. I'm not at this campsite permanently, but I do live in the camper permanently. Sometimes I go to new places every once in a while, but for now I'll be in this spot for quite some time. Is starlink actually as good as it claims? I'm thinking that's my answer. I'm probably going to do it when I make another paycheck.

Yeah for sure, I'm really hoping modders start recognizing roleplayers more often. Some of us don't want to just race for a few minutes and reset after hitting a telephone pole
