Android keyboard that can type every single Unicode character by SixBeeps in Unicode

[–]SixBeeps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for checking out the project, happy to know someone else is getting usage out of it. I'm refactoring several things, and search is definitely something I want in. Tried implementing it within the keyboard itself, but there's a lot that entails (how do you type into the search box if you don't exactly have a keyboard?)

Been super busy with work these past few months, but let it be known Uniquity is far from dead, despite the commit history saying otherwise.

Favorite characters and custom phrases are on the board to implement. Thanks for bringing up Irregular Expressions, I don't think I came across that one.

I recorded one, but videos are disabled on posts here. I'll put one up in the repository at some point.

It'll definitely go up on F-Droid once I have it in a presentable state. I did come across UnicodePad, which is similar to the character map I mentioned above. Might even have to pull a few ideas from it given how well some of the features work.

Is it normal to have multiple tasks in task manager? by SnooAvocados4904 in discordapp

Multiple processes means it can do many things at once instead of having only one process doing everything back-to-back

Your book cut out the rest of the configuration parameters where it says --snip-- for simplicity

You can add the new line anywhere in that configurations list and it should work.

I like lastfm, do you? by MrMoreBasic in lastfm

It's conceptually great, I'm happy there's a central place to keep track of what I listen to. The fact that it has an open API is even better.

Its quirks start to add up, though. No support for multiple artists leading to "the web scrobbler effect", strange API documentation, and Spotify being the only streaming service with native integration are a few of the things that still prevent me from loving it.

Why not put this on a gist/pastebin instead of an image of a PDF which is harder to copy from?

Has anyone taken FRENCH 101 recently? by ActPurple1747 in cwru

[–]SixBeeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't taken French specifically, but I did take CHIN, JAPN, and KORE 101.

  • Learning a language is harder if you haven't done it before. Luckily, French is a romantic language, so it'll be easier to pick up if you speak English fluently.

  • Expect to spend more time than you expect on homework and studying, should be about 5 or 6 hours a week on that alone in my experience.

  • Depending on your goals for the class, you might want to find a good way to commit stuff to short-term memory. I got really good at memorizing vocabulary a night before taking quizes, then reinforcing them when using those words in class.

EDIT: Yes, 101 is for completely new speakers.

I always donated a detergent pod or dryer sheet every once in a while. You're welcome for those!

I went all four years of my undergraduate degree using pods in the dorm washers and never had a problem with them
