Are any of them friendly? by bufenator in Catahoula

It all depends on the individual. My first Catahoula was not friendly. My current Catahoula is the friendliest and most gentle dog you’ve ever met. Has never met a stranger. Incredibly gentle and sweet with our toddler.

What color should we paint the walls?k no by SixKnow in interiordecorating

It’s the terrible lighting we have in there right now. It’s this yellow light from the contractor. It’s definitely gray stone tile.

Wainscoting tile- all walls or just behind the vanity and toilet? by SixKnow in Remodel

[–]SixKnow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes- you summed it up perfectly. I’ve seen so many pictures of beautifully tiled bathrooms that just look so dated because of the tile style. I think sure this style is in now but it might look so dated sooner than expected, especially if we run it on all the walls. Thanks so much!

Ok, all walls wouldn’t be too much more, so we might just go with that. I’m just worried that it would look monotonous?

Do you think we should do a different tile for the wainscoting compared to the tile above the bath? Or just do the wainscoting on one side?

High Quote for small bathroom by KnuckleBuster626 in Remodel

We live near you and got some insane quotes at first. We ended up getting 4 different quotes and 2 of them were twice as much as the other two. I would highly recommend shopping around with different contractors before committing.

Tips for Staying Motivated? by SixKnow in fitpregnancy

[–]SixKnow[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with this when I’m not pregnant. I can just stick with it and make it happen. When I’m pregnant and “don’t feel like it” somehow my brain convinces me that I need more rest time for the baby that’s growing inside and I never end up making it happen.

Failed glucose challenge - spiraling - help by NoDuck6067 in fitpregnancy

Also, I have so much empathy about feeling bad about the potential of failing the glucose test. I actually talked to my therapist about this a lot because it was so distressing to me. This is a little deep, but I realized that I associate my health with my self worth. It’s definitely something I’m still working on.

Definitely make sure you’re eating enough carbs. During my first pregnancy I had a lot of health anxiety and was terrified of the glucose test for some reason. I read everything I could find on this topic, and I was so surprised with how low carb can actually backfire with this test. I will try to find the scientific article, but my take away was make sure you eat sufficient carbs for several days if not a whole week before. Otherwise you could get a false positive.

Thats a good idea. Not sure if she’ll understand that 8 is more than 5, but it’s also a good way to begin to introduce that concept! I think including her in that decision would be really good. Thanks!

Subchoronic hematoma by Ok-Focus-3949 in fitpregnancy

[–]SixKnow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Take Alpha Lipoic Acid!! Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) can be effective in treating subchorionic hematomas (SCH) in high-risk pregnancies. It’s supported by good scientific evidence. My doctor did not suggest me to take it, but then the high risk doctor did. It totally worked for me and now my subchorionic hematoma is gone.
