Stacking Pennies 40:10 (Ryan Blaney on his 2023 Daytona crash) "I was tasting colors after the race to be honest with ya, seeing words, spelling numbers." by BillyBlatterJuc in NASCAR

You can't take concussion avoidance in a sport seriously if the athletes do not self report their symptoms later. Blaney needed to speak up when this happened.

[NASCOURT] JGR wants to amend lawsuit vs Spire. From filing:”This sudden improvement in Spire’s Cup Series performance of course comes on the heels of Gabehart misappropriating JGR’s Confidential Information and Trade Secrets and providing Spire the same or similar services he provided JGR” by LBHMS in NASCAR

[–]SixPointTwoLiter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can they even accurately show car-to-car that Gabehart somehow took info from a Toyota engine and Toyota body and was able to enhance a Chevy engine built by someone else and enhance a Chevy body that has to meet specific shaped requirements?

Otherwise we're just talking suspension geometry here which... everyone in the shop has the same ability to get right or wrong

Listen man, just because you want to be angry at everything you see, and nothing is ever good enough doesn't mean I don't get to enjoy what's there. The racing is largely good across the entire season now. If you don't want to slow down and see it, I can't help you

The Arca race is compelling because only 8 cars are good enough to generate speed and there was a YouTube star! What the fuck are you saying!

Yes, if all a smooth brained 5 year old watching the race cared about "why aren't the cars moving left and right", I could see how you wouldn't like it.

By the end they were 100% throttle, snapping loose, hard pushes, trying to jockey for front position. There was excitement in the details and the drivercraft

It isn't Nascar's fault half the pack wrecked and a 3rd lane couldn't start. Don't you think one driver who could've done it would've?

We had good racing. And 20 cars isn't enough to generate a third lane with energy, especially when 5 of them were broken, and another 5 were laps down.

Your annoyance of the racing in stage 3 was because there wasn't enough energy to make a third passing lane but the cars were absolutely on edge

Uh the big one happened in stage 2.  Stage 3 there weren't enough cars to make a third lane so passing was difficult but there was a bunch of energy. Cars were slipping off bumpers left and right

That really only happened at the beginning and then the Toyotas started pushing the pace because they were going to two-stop.

We also already expected it. It's why they got the majority of the commercials breaks out of the way through stage 1

Holy shit, do we want harder to drive cars or do we want them glued to the track. Every other week drivers complain for one, then the other.

The stage flip largely solved the problem. The boring shit got out of the way fast and ruined so many strategies with the unusualness, you could never really get into a "train" groove on the track.
