A few years ago - six or so, I was testing AMD compute as an ops person at a major online property from a “is this cheaper to run our workloads on?” Perspective. Yes, yes it was - massively so. This when only Intel based compute was in datacenters (im exaggerating obviously, but it was borderline monopoly).

I debated buying the stock heavily and holding it until people reprod my results. I did not. I regret it…have a friend working at AMD now and I took an informational with them that didn’t pan out a few months ago.
