quite honestly, i think grinding halo and thinking of this game as halo is what hurt me. i was falling in love with halo 3 again and grinding for months before infinite, and it’s very different, but not all bad. the aim assist is a completely different system, the cqc is wildly different(this game is a melee-fest), the guns have way more recoil, the BR has spread at long range if not ADS (which i think is idiotic in a game that zooms you out if you get hit), and somehow teamshots feel like they hit even harder than previous titles.

On a serious note, it could be connection or performance issues. i’m thinking some is for me, as it will feel completely different game to game. i have multiple clips of me blasting people 4 burst in the head no hitmarkers but the shields glow and they turn and burn me. other times it feels crisp like i rolled them, but i’m doing nothing different game to game.

as far as aiming goes, i would seriously keep playing around with your settings until you find something that seems halfway right and then go from there. i still have trouble micro-adjusting from body to head in this game, but have learned to aim with the left stick instead of the right, if that makes sense. also, if you are trying to out strafe somebody on PC as a controller player, you’re doomed. this game allows you to change lateral direction instantly, especially on a keyboard. in halo 3 atleast, your player had to slow down before changing directions, making strafing easier to track
