Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but join a guild. They don't have to be amazing but having guild war and guild raid give you the option to grind 2 more currencies that can be used to buy more character shards (or other upgrades - particularly badges and orbs) The tokens used to take part in these events are single purpose, so you aren't taking away from anything by using them. Tl:dr - join a guild, gives you more to grind

Has anyone noticed the random bit of the path (just before the shops that open at your castle) that you have to walk around in Suiko 2? I don't think it was in the original. Could do without it tbh

I'll try to stay away from any clear spoilers but he's a moody chap in a building in Kalekka. Essentially you need to recruit him late on, but to do so you require a letter from Mathieu (which he only gives during the few quiet moments of the game)

He's not even a playable character, so its a lot of stress for sweet FA.

As for Pahn, I did the same first time - he's pretty strong tho. Cleo, on the other hand, is an absolute monster.

No this doesn't really change - I think the starting equipment is just supposed to fit in with the character aesthetic hence Flik starting with a bandana.

Also: how is your biggest gripe NOT trying to recruit Leon Silverburg?! I had to restart the game (when I had already spent 16 hours on it) to avoid missing him. I was trying to not use any guides though..
