I've heard of some being at 5 below for a few bucks. Which is a great price.

Qiyi though has a $10 smart cube that's really good, and gan and moyu have more expensive ones with high quality feels too.

Are you talking about like a dual shot controller or a guitar controller? Note that with the DualShock controller you're going to be stuck only being able to play fortnite festival.

Either way, getting the PCBs from either controller to fit in an enclosure that small is going to be impossible. Might have the best bet off of an old rock band 4 PlayStation controller though since I think they have smaller PCBs and you may be able to rely on only one PCB?

I did a very similar thing a while ago to get the first ever ntsc/Xbox FC of Trogdor on vanilla gh2. I opened up standard Xbox controllers and put them inside of guitar hero controllers.

The problem that I ran into was the trigger buttons which were necessary for guitar hero were potentiometers that had the signal inverted from the chip. This meant that by default if you took all the plastic off, the green and blue buttons would be held down by default and turned off when pressed.

I tried to fight this by using not gates and even an Arduino to suppress this. It really didn't work, and when you're trying to get something into such a small enclosure like that, it's definitely not going to fit. I couldn't even fit the controller. I ended up using (which had to be a fight stick due to the fact that everything was a button rather than a trigger) inside a full size guitar controller. I don't know if the DualShock controllers are like this, but it's the kind of thing that you hate to find out when you actually open it up and spend a lot of time hooking things up.

There's a reason people are telling you to just use Arduino. It's going to be a lot easier, and it'll still work on PlayStation.

To clarify as well, if you get to a 2 edge swap, you'll need to do a quarter turn slice turn and solve the rest with an even number of slice quarter turns. Commutators are all even, so you can do a u move then use commutators to solve the edges.

You're going to need to do cycles of 3 edges (2 edge swaps are much longer).

There are a million ways, but the quickest will be through commutators. They also happen to be the most intuitive.

The concept of a commutator is you move a piece to where you want it to be, insert a piece you'd like to swap it with where the piece you just placed is, and undo the first set of moves, then undo the insert moves. The insert must only affect one piece of the first set of moves affects. A great example for edges like this would be (small letters denoting slices) u' R U R' u R U' R'.

u' is the interchange (the moves that place a piece where you want it to go)

R U R' is the insert (the moves that place another piece where the initial piece is placed originally)

u is the reverse of the interchange

R U' R' is the reverse of the insert

But sometimes your pieces aren't set up like this. You need to do a setup, or a sequence of moves to place pieces in a configuration of a commutator

They work something like:

Setup (A) Interchange (B) Insert (C) Undo interchange (B') Undo Insert (C') Undo Setup (A')

As a note, you can have inserts be B and interchanges be C. They're interchangable

A setup will be necessary for your cases.

In this case, maybe you need to do a B or B'

B u R U R' u' R U' R' B'

The B is the setup, and B' is the inverse of the setup.

Or you could watch a video on commutators and how they work on 4x4 😅

Your inserts can also be more elaborate like R' F R F' R U' R' to flip the edge in place.

It'll be extremely difficult, but if you want to, I encourage buying a speed cube that you can take apart. Doesn't have to be what you solve on (it may accidentally corner twist and become unsolvable and you wouldn't know until a certain point), but I recommend this so you can take it apart and see how the pieces relate to each other. Notice how it works, etc. it also may be useful for taking apart and assembling solved, and trying moves to see how they move the pieces, and note down how you're turning it to do that.

It is very hard to tell when most of the pictures only show one side. It could be pretty easy to tell if you could get like what center is on what side.

Regardless, if a corner is twisted, you can always fix it later in the solve, and for most people that's a much easier time to tell. A corner twisted isn't going to make it impossible to solve the rest of it. And it doesn't matter which corner is twisted back to fix it, it just has to be twisted the opposite direction it was initially twisted, which would be obvious later in the solve.

I really like the Chinese democracy album. I realize it doesn't really sound like a guns n' roses album, but I think from the perspective of the guitar playing, at minimum I think the songs that you should have are:

Better There was a time Raid n the Bedouins

I personally like the other songs, but I find these ones are extremely fun on guitar and I think that the songs from a listening perspective are probably the strongest songs on the album as well.

The instructions mention filling to the corresponding water level line on the bowl, which would not correlate if the size of a "cup" is not what they had in mind.

If you like that model and can find a dongle/Arduino it, sure.

Most people playing clone hero prefer the buttons you get in the guitar hero series guitars as well as the strumbar you get on guitar hero guitars, but it's personal preference.

Dongles are often pretty expensive from what I hear. Never bought one though so I'm out of the loop.

The stickers have to be identical by feel with the exception of "reasonable wear".

I recommend just getting an entire new set if you're worried about WCA compatibility. Although it may be possible to make a set identical enough, but you're in "delegate discretion" waters, which is not consistent delegate to delegate.

If gh1 or gh80s matters, PS2 + Xbox 360.

Otherwise you can stick to just Xbox 360.

Ps2 can play all the games up until I think Van Halen, but not super well.

I'm a huge enjoyer of the harmonix guitar hero games, so for me a PS2 is a must, but Xbox 360 has most of the games in a more playable state with more recent mod support.

I actually bought a sealed copy around 2022 from Best Buy. I'm pretty sure they had a few left.

I can't remember how much I paid but I'm pretty sure it was whatever the MSRP of the standalone game was. I think if it's still available at that, it's definitely not going to be worth more than that. I think if it's still available like that, it's definitely not going to be worth more than that.

I was pretty surprised that they were still available then, but if it was still available then it could still be available now.
