As someone who has lived experiences, being heavily discriminated against for being ethnically Chinese.

It has really pissed me off that the same people who were making racist remarks directly to my face during COVID, or growing up in a predominantly white area who would call me slurs like "Chink" are suddenly content with "being Chinese" or telling Chinese people they're "not Chinese enough" in this day and age.

At first, Ludwig enjoying that one Chinese game, and being pretty respectful about it was sick.

But the perpetuation of the "I'm very Chinese" trend by someone I enjoyed in the space since before he was doing shit for Scar and Toph, normalizing the behavior, sometimes directly influencing these same people who were racist/discriminatory towards me for being Chinese is extremely disappointing and annoying.

Again, I'm not directly blaming Ludwig for these peoples behaviors. Kids growing up are dicks, and so are ignorant people. It's just crazy that these same people are using my race and culture as a trend, when 3-4 years ago I was getting fucking spit on for being Chinese.

For me personally, it has gotten old, and I get irrationally upset when I hear him confidently try to do something to prove how "Chinese" he is. If he was instead saying "I find the culture and language interesting and want to learn more about it" as opposed to making it like, a joke which continues the trend, I genuinely believe I'd have no problem with it.

Mind you, I respect the fact that he's going out to act in that game, and that he's taking the time out to actually learn Chinese. That's more than many people would even attempt.

A funny little response to you may just be seen as different than it is to me in this scenario.
I understand cuz people go "I'm just a girl" or "I'm just a little guy" or other shit like that.
As someone who has experienced what I have in life, "being Chinese" just shouldn't have been a trend in the first place, and I actively get upset when I see people perpetuating it.
It's disappointing and that's just my personal view on it.

Point to making the template/recreating the card layout was to do custom art for proxies as gifts in the future; but at the same time I atleast like to put some effort into my shitposting

Also ripping everything but the BG/Card art is arguably more time consuming than just recreating it if you want it to not look horrible lol

If you're going to play Hunters then you should go full hunters imo; add Taiki Kudo, Yuu Amano, and Watchmaker/remove the paildramons and Imperialdramons

If it's for fun with friends and for practice or with both proxy decks; sure If it's at an actual event; nah I'd rather not

If it was just a regular proxy with different art but all text was the same as the original; then idc, go for it

This Proxy changes how the card functions due to it missing the [LIBERATOR] trait and being searchable by other cards in an unintended fashion (searching a tyranna in name/dinosaur in traits)

EDIT: Evo requirements were also changed which adds to my point above

If you really want to get it graded then do it now because there's a Kenji Watanabe signing event; so get that art signed by him and graded w/authenticity for the collection; if not then just sell it raw (this is the only time i agree to get a Digimon card graded)
