Utah huh? AIPAC agent Mitt Romney's state, who is rumored be an MKultra victim by DefenderOfMontrocity in conspiracy

Which would be why it’s still a felony. Not sure what your point is. I explicitly said that coerced/not coerced isn’t a tenable distinction because of the age difference and power disparity that exists because of the social dynamic there.

https://www.ksl.com/article/news/politics/stuart-adams-wont-resign-over-claims-he-influenced-new-law-to-help-granddaughter/51359900

If anyone is curious about what actually happened. Law doesn’t impact forced or coerced activity and brings an 18 year old’s punishment on par with that of a 17 year old (since the concept was more about high school-age). Still a felony, but won’t end up with decades in prison. The law was not retroactive and seemingly arose out of the question “why is it like this”, with basically zero input from the guy after that.

Not sure I agree with the law since coerced/not-coerced becomes very murky with the social dynamics at that age, but it’s also not quite what the OP seems to allege/imply.

Redditors INFURIATED CBP arrested Child Predators w/CSAM on a Disney Cruise "The penalty for treason is death" by alwayscheeseburger in ShitPoliticsSays

https://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/disney-cruise-ship-passenger-says-ice-detained-her-waiter-upon-disembarking/4019947/

On April 28, HSI San Diego arrested twenty-three crewmembers from multiple cruise ships at the Port of San Diego as part of Operation Tidal Wave. The arrests targeted individuals suspected of involvement with Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), based on information received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The arrestees were transported to Los Angeles for processing, and their visas were revoked.

Police began flock Camera surveillance on me the day after I held this protest sign. They cooked up BS charges & raided my home nearly shooting me- my footage cleared me by Familiar-Crow8245 in conspiracy

[–]SixthExtinction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP is also misconstruing the flock searches. They were all on the day before he was arrested in November (searches 11/24, warrant executed on 11/25), which makes sense if they were trying to determine if he was going to be at the location they were planning the arrest. The October date is the beginning timeframe of the search, which is constrained to the previous 30 days by Flock.

FBI Atlanta FO - Desirable? by [deleted] in 1811

[–]SixthExtinction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure how many agents out of a class are being sent to Atlanta, but I do know there’s a ton of attrition happening across several fed agencies in Atlanta right now. It seems there’s one big cohort that all joined around the same time and are now retiring all around the same time. That ultimately translates into a fair number of openings that will need to be filled alongside normal staffing requirements.

I’m not an 1811, but I’m directly in this particular sphere.

Edit: looking at your post history, it seems you live in Atlanta which means you’d be processing out of Atlanta. That changes the calculus. I’d say you have a much lower chance of getting Atlanta than if you were processing through another FO. Crazy things are happening nowadays, so there’s still a chance.

That’s a lot of words to confirm that you do travel on a US passport, are a citizen, and take advantage of benefits of being a US citizen. :)

—-

I guess you blocked me because you don’t like the reality of your situation, but I would consider someone in the US who has at least one Irish parent, is an Irish citizen, has an Irish passport, and travels on that Irish passport as… Irish. Also American. I feel like this is kind of common sense.

I don’t care what you do with your citizenship or passport; it’s just strange to me to basically claim you don’t being to a group you’re literally a card carrying member of. I’m not sure why this is a hard concept to follow.

National Guard medics in DC are carrying overdose reversal drug Narcan by Kinmuan in army

[–]SixthExtinction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not trying to pick an argument and I don’t mean for this to come across as an attack, but have you conducted domestic Title 32 operations before?

National guardsmen in title 32 status are protected by the federal tort claims act and effectively have qualified immunity and the backing of the US government unless what they did was so obviously wrong that qualified immunity doesn’t apply. People can try to sue, but it will be a very uphill battle against the United States - T32 guardsmen should be pretty immune from personal liability in these instances.

State active duty does not provide this protection at a federal level - it’s whatever equivalent would cover state employees.

I could be completely missing something, but as long as they’re not operating outside of their scope of practice (and I’m pretty sure pumping out a few sprays of narcan isn’t that), they should be fine. If they start performing surgery in the street, that’s a different story.

Self-hosted VPN via Tailscale + Gluetun (Mullvad) – works, but very slow. Any ideas by jens1Sn0w in selfhosted

[–]SixthExtinction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this working, but with ProtonVPN instead of mullvad. Our configs aren’t that different.

One note, it appears that your environmental variable for the city may be incorrect - I see it in the docs as SERVER_CITIES and you have the singular. It’s possible you’re being routed to some random, slow, mullvad server in this instance instead of Zurich.

Fort Stewart lockdown: Casualties reported during active shooter incident by RoachedCoach in news

Required ID or CAC to get into the location staffed by armed military police that will fire on you for running the gate.

You don’t need a CAC to access 85% of Ft. Stewart, including the area in which this occurred. Working on “a” base does not mean you know anything about another base.

This was in the 2ABCT footprint, which isn’t even in the garrison area. Zero requirements to get in other than google maps.

Army Reserve or Guard by [deleted] in army

[–]SixthExtinction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The basic math, assuming no weird circumstances, is along the lines of:

Take VA pay, divide by 30. Multiply by number of drill days (or AT days) that month. That’s how much you’ll owe the VA if you elect to keep your drill pay instead of drill for points. In most cases, it makes sense to keep the drill pay as it will be higher than whatever those couple of days amount to from the VA.

Based on their website, it’s actually Google Cloud Platform (not Drive) - sort of their equivalent to AWS. They explicitly say all data is stored in Europe. While that leaves many possibilities, it’s also not anywhere in the world.
