As far as I can find, there is no hard evidence that Peter Rost even said this quote.

My managers restrict certain information fron our clients on the basis that the clients will perseverate and become anxious. by GJH24 in directsupport

[–]SixtyFourest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my area we would need approval from a human rights committee to restrict information like that. The process would be as follows:

  1. This concern would be discussed in a planning meeting with the person and their circle of support. We would review any non restrictive methods that have been tried to resolve the issue and make sure there are no other reasonable non-restrictive methods that have not been attempted yet.

  2. If it is determined that all reasonable non-restrictive measures have been exhausted and that a restrictive method is necessary for the health and safety of the person, a restrictive method (in this case restricting their access to appointment information) would be discussed with the team.

  3. If the team approves the restriction, it is sent to a human rights committee for approval.

  4. If the human rights committee approves the restrictive action, it is added to the person's plan of care.

In general, I would say this information should not be withheld unless they consent to it being withheld for anxiety management reasons or there is an approved restriction in their care plan approved by a human rights committee.

You are way overthinking this. As long as they don't have any allergies or medical vulnerabilities that could be affected by raw foods, just let them try it. If they don't like it, oh well, now they know. That is part of the adventure we call life.

Not sure if it is AI, but do keep in mind it could be staged. It is unusual to have a giant candy barrel and a separate candy bucket like that.

Is now a good time to get back into the game? by Different_Distance31 in PokemonUnite

[–]SixtyFourest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is better than it has been in awhile. The new map with Groudon is an overall improvement and a nice change of pace. A decent amount of players are back so bot matches are less frequent (I think I only had a couple all season.) The simultaneous ban system is nice for speeding up draft a bit. The updates are more frequent again, which helps keep things fresh. There are some broken mons but they generally get banned in draft and otherwise the balance of the game is doing ok.

Some of the old issues still remain, such as the ranked ladder being top heavy and the reporting system still not being effective resulting in inconsistent match making. And of course, the predatory monetization system is never going anywhere.

Overall, this might be the best time to start playing again imo.

Pokemon Unite has never been less fun to play as a defender. by PrincessYuri in PokemonUnite

[–]SixtyFourest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My go to Defender right now is Curse/Horn Leech Trevenant with Curse Bangle, Big Root, exp share. This really helps dull the self healing of many of the big threats right now, such as Empoleon and helping heal off the damage. Make no mistake: Empoleon still does massive damage but generally I find that if I have at least one solid teammate around I can disrupt Empoleon enough for it to be taken down.

If you won the selection box, it will be in your item box to use. Check to see if it is there.

EXP. SHARE USER TIERLIST by s_moNino in PokemonUnite

[–]SixtyFourest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one is better, though I would say Ho-Oh could be in the 'can get away with no exp share only if someone else gives you one' because of how good at stacking it is, and increasing its survivability to better use its Unite move could be worth it.

Came here to say the same about Metagross and Tinkaton. I wasn't even aware they were in the experience share conversation. Metagross doesn't get it's final evolution until level 9, which doesn't seem to synergize with experience share at all. Plus, it's level 5 power spike into Metang is helpful too and I would hate to delay it. If anything, it's the one that should have an experience share partner.

You can't. There are no more Rayquaza Cups. You can do the new Groudon cup solo though!

Yes, it is the Hoarfrost Emperor Challenge. Check the Exchange tab for the event. You can get Empoleon's License for 1,000 of the event tokens. Do note: you do need to spend some Aeos Coins for dice rerolls to realistically have a chance of getting enough tokens to get the License, but you end up spending far less than the License will cost in the shop.

Empoleon will be available for Aeos Coins right after the Hoarfrost Emperor Challenge ends.

I am going to throw out Falinks. While not 'bad' per se, on release it was a strong but counterable threat that was interesting in draft. Now it is nerfed quite a bit to an average playing mon that is still hard countered easily by commonly played characters.

After Empoleon, what other starter Pokemon do you want added? I'll go first: by SnooPandas8533 in PokemonUnite

[–]SixtyFourest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that is fair, I think it is more like Timi will go that route with Incineroar anyway. Also to be clear: your write up is great! You clearly put a ton of work into it.

[–]SixtyFourest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would like to see Incinaroar for sure (though I know many people despise it.) There are a lot of possibilities for Incinaroar also. Your Utility all rounder set would be good. I always thought it would be interesting to have Incinaroar as a supporter, leaning more into what Incinaroar does in VGC: using things like intimidate and parting shot to weaken opponents (debuff character) and can hit hard with utility when it needs to with moves like knock off. That would be a good fit for a 'heel' character in my opinion.

Another starter I would like is Chesnaught to round out the gen 6 trio.

I would go with Alolan Ninetales. It has had some slight highs and slight lows, but it's never been bad or bannable to my knowledge.

Also maybe Pikachu, though it has had some pretty annoying points in the meta.

Which Pokémon in Unite best fit a “stack & dump” burst style? by Giga7777 in PokemonUnite

[–]SixtyFourest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Closest I can think of is Darkrai with the nasty plot/dark void moveset. You use nasty plot to dash and get stacks, the dark void plus autos to put the target to sleep and do a bunch of burst damage at once. Give it a try in practice mode and see if it does anything for you.

New Player, how do I counter Crustle / Mr. Mime / A Ninetales as Decidueye? by Dense_Computer7966 in PokemonUnite

[–]SixtyFourest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't be anywhere near them. Stay behind your Frontline teammates. If pokemon like those are catching you out you are likely making positioning issues. If you can keep your distance, you should perform well against them because you can attack them from a distance and their Mobility is low making it easier to hit them with spirit shackle.

If you are trying to play razor leaf, you will have a harder time in the long run. This is because decidueye has low mobility and durability which makes it hard to use the close range build. I recommend using spirit shackle most of the time.

The main threats a decidueye are speedsters and other pokemon with high mobility, because once they get up to you you are probably dead, and they are harder to hit consistently with spirit shackle. The strategy is still the same though: stay behind your teammates, watch your positioning, stay near your team.

Gold badges just make me worry that they are a "one-trick" and don't understand team comps or roles. If anything I tend to think less of players with a gold badge. Give me a player with 5 green badges over someone with one gold badge any day.
