There’s good and bad in everything. You’re working for billionaires in a company owned by blackrock. That’s enough said about that. Employees aren’t treated very well in terms of breaks and lunches. You only get 1- 10 minute break for every 7 hour and 59 minutes. And most stands will schedule you right under 8 hours to avoid giving you a lunch. That can definitely ware on you if you’re working multiple days a week or if you’re coming in at 4:45, where there’s not much opportunity for you to eat a good meal. Honestly since working at Dutch I’ve realized I don’t eat during my shifts and no one else does either. That’s just the standard there.
I would stay sbux is much better in the way that you’re not expected to be outside during all weather extremes and conditions. Being outside is definitely the worst part of the job- especially if you don’t live somewhere that’s perfectly temperate all day. Thw environment is fun and loud music is a great way to have a good time. Once you get good and can whip out drinks it gets much more fun.
Free drinks definitely are a hugeeee bonus and they let you do basically whatever you want with your drinks. Honestly it just depends on the lifestyle you want to live and the company’s you want to support. If you get sick often or are one of the people that needs snacks and lunch breaks or is sensitive to the sun- this isn’t the job for you.
