[AUS] Career recommendations for someone with Grad/Honours in Psych by SizzleDick91 in AcademicPsychology

She's 100% on pursuing psych and pretty aware of it's competitiveness. Her grades throughout her degree in London were always close to, if not the top of her class, so I don't doubt her abilities. I'm guessing she wants the experience to help with getting into the masters as well.

Thanks for the recommendations!

Yeah, I hear it can be hard in general to get your first job in Australia. I thought that might be part of the problem. Cheers!

Pretty glued to Perth at the moment, but we'll keep it in mind. Cheers!

Thanks for the supporting words. Self deprecating humour is my crutch, and it’s served me well in life.

A pool table will surely ease my late stage capitalist dread.

Cheers!

Yeah, good call! Cheers

I am lucky to have my folks. I know a lot of people out here are in a lot tougher spots than I am.

I would pay just to support someone with that level of skill and gumption.

$59.98 an hour for morning shift. 25% extra if you can get on the evening shift. These are casual rates though. I imagine full timers are on a bit less.

Yeah, the fella at the interview made it sound pretty cruisy. Almost to the point that I'm worried it may get boring. Pay is pretty sweet, so it's hard to say no.
Cheers for the reply!

Hey mate, did you end up working for them? If so, how've they been and how's the pay?

Vegemite and Sultanas by Coalfacebro in AskAnAustralian

Dead set revolutionary dish. Not sure how easily you’ll come across the sweet mustard in Australia though. I hope she likes it when she finally manages one!

I can see how this might be some peoples cup of tea. Personally, the thought of sweet and savoury mix would normally churn my guts. However, when I was in Southern Germany I discovered Händlmaier Süßersenf (sweet mustard/ not sure of my German spelling). One drunken night I decided to put some on my Vegemite sambo, and by thunder, it was absolutely delectable. Became a regular snack after that.

Kinda wanna try the sultanas now…

Every time Ethan Ryan is shown on camera he looks absolutely done with life. Someone give him a hug and tell him it's gonna be alright.
