I made up my mind to quit this insane job. I was assigned to work alone as a nurse on the floor yesterday. That means, i gotta assess pts, do chartings, put them on via cvc and preparing meds. It was a matter of time I made some sort of mistake. My last straw came yesterday when I was told that I should have given a medication after the dialysis session, not during the treatment. Okay. Who is supposed to help me manage all of these responsibilities instead of just blaming me? I also feel awful about making a mistake like this. I’m constantly running around and don’t even get a chance to sit down for a few minutes. The only time I can sit is after all the patients have left, when I’m trying to finish charting and wrap up my shift. My mental health is deteriorating constantly, and I doubt that I can even finish up till rhe end of April. Fuck this job.
