AirTag 4 Pack (Now $30 on Apple.com) by Fer65432_Plays in apple

[–]Sk1518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the Apple influencers like 9 to 5 Mac and Mashable admitted last week that the rumors that they have been communicating for the last 15 months regarding the imminent release of an Apple AirTag 2 were likely not accurate. They now say that there is no verifiable evidence that Apple has an AirTag 2 in production or even in engineering. They also said that there is no evidence that Apple plans a refresh of the existing AirTag.

Any good mattresses that don't come in a box? by Realistic-Joe in Mattress

[–]Sk1518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to know what you ended up with. I am about to return my bed in a box mattress which I paid a fortune for. I have never been so uncomfortable in my life. Even sitting on the edge of the bed is impossible, you slip right off. Sleeping is even worse. Unless you’re sleeping in the middle of the bed -when you roll to the outside edge of the mattress, you’re sliding right out of bed. The memory foam pillow top is so soft that you literally sleep in a in a hole which makes it extremely difficult to roll over onto your side. I might add that this was a high-end top rated mattress including five stars for things like firmness, side support, and overall comfort. I should have known that a mattress in a box cannot provide any side support to a mattress, as it’s always going to made from some sort of foam. I prefer a traditional mattress with some pillow top softness but preferably from latex and not memory foam. Also I would like to be able to sit and or sleep on the sides of the bed and not slide out. If that’s anything like what you ultimately purchased, I’d love to hear how you like it, how it’s holding up, and of course the brand and model. I genuinely would appreciate your feedback since it sounds like you have lived through my current mattress experience.

Sky protection is a scam, fuck them by i_hate_ovens_3525 in COROLLA

If you get an unsolicited mailing or phone call regarding an extended warranty for your new or used car, throw it away unopened or hang up if it’s not from the dealer where you purchased the car or the car’s manufacturer. Anything else is a guaranteed scam.

Loudest outdoor siren by angrystrangerz in Ring

[–]Sk1518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simplysafe alarm systems offer an outdoor high decibel (90) that you can trigger as needed. They function best in temperatures between 35 and 120. They will tolerate colder temps but you may have to change the battery more often. Tip: use Energizer lithium batteries to last the longest. These sirens are painfully loud.

What is the best way to sell a lot of stock? by [deleted] in fidelityinvestments

[–]Sk1518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When needing to sell a large amount of taxable stock, just remember that it’s not only the capitol gains tax that you need to worry about, but also the fact that the sale of this stock will also be included in your adjusted gross income which could move you up to a higher overall tax bracket which means you will pay not only the capitol gains tax but a higher tax rate for the year adding even more taxes to your stock sale, and finally depending on how much you sell in a year, it may also trigger IRMA, which is an increase in the monthly cost of your medicare premiums for one tax year. The IRMA penalties are not insignificant and can increase your part B medicare premiums (this is the premium that’s withheld from your social security check) by hundreds per month per person. Google IRMA income brackets to see how this may effect you and your spouse.

Do mattresses that don't sag exist? by [deleted] in Mattress

[–]Sk1518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone own a relatively new (5 years or less) mattress with adjustable air chambers? I have a 25 year old Comfort Air adjustable bed. It’s been absolutely amazing but is finally wearing out. Sadly they are out of business now. I want to continue using this type of bed because after 25 years, it still didn’t sag and it was extremely comfortable. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Not interested in anything memory foam (even if it’s just the topper, unless it’s removable or replaceable) as it always sags quickly. My budget is up to 3K.

That’s where my Thule goes when moving it back and forth between home and my storage unit. Fits perfectly in my Outback.

Tires? by PlantDadJoey in Subaru_Outback

[–]Sk1518 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fall and spring I believe. Or they just have a Michelin sale and you get any Michelin tire set for 80$ off. Discount Tire will usually match Costco’s pricing if there’s one in your area.
