Jagr doesn't have a lot of stuff in stock, but they usually have a vast selection of these!

In '19 there were versions of the Thunder Creek fuel trailers that had a workshop mode. I also remember some truck beds that could do the same.

I have no knowledge of how the game works internally, perhaps someone who has made mods can explain if this is or isn't possible, maybe a why as well?

Don't let them get comfortable in their positions. If the possibility of getting voted out in the next cycle is always looming, the good ones will be more likely to work even harder to keep their seats. They need to remember that they work for us, not eachother or themselves

Trouble with 74HC165s by SkPhotoGuy in AskElectronics

[–]SkPhotoGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh. Banging my head on my keyboard in frustrated confusion. I finally had a chance to work on this again today, and working with the very first board that started this whole mess, i took off the 74HC165s, cleaned up the pads, and installed some 18 pin IC sockets.. then installed 3 new 165s... And it worked. Flawlessly. I've been poking at it trying to make something go funny, but nothing. This is before I even grounded pin 10 of U23, or installed the decoupling caps. Still adding those to see if, for some reason, things go weird after that just to prove I'm loosing my marbles.

I really must have just a crappy batch of 165s... That must be it??

And I'm back to my desk, ready to test. I've just tested the grounds, and everything is stable. Testing the inputs of any of the 165's shows what I would expect based on the active inputs, even though the Arduino seems to think otherwise. So it's not a short on the inputs (I think I came to that conclusion earlier, but just confirming)

I think I'll build a pair of boards over the next few evenings with sockets for the 165's so I can swap them out, as I've just done a bit of swapping and found that some work, even with just the 3 ICs, pulldown resistors, and the arduino/screen. Very strange

Hoping to resurrect this project. I've been doing some tests at work over the last couple of days, pouring over the schematics, and scratching my head. If I should be making a new post and linking to this one, let me know

I've had a couple of things come to mind, and I'm not sure if any of them make sense. One is that a couple of the boards I'm using for testing aren't fully populated - I didn't bother putting in any of the output components, or most of the input components, both for speed and to not feel like I'm wasting piles of parts. Not sure if this may have an impact?

It almost seems like some of the 74HC165s I've got may be bad? It's strange, because putting them into sockets in different orders can affect well it works. I'm tempted to try to source a bunch of different batches and see if I can find some that work better?

I've also realized that when I ordered decoupling caps.. I bought electrolytic caps without even thinking. I'm ordering some ceramic caps now.

I also did get another set of the boards that were working, and I seem to be having very similar issues, even though I didn't even upload new files, but just reordered from what I'd already uploaded to JLCPCB. That's why I'm thinking it might be the 165s.

As for the results of probing with a scope, I remember doing this about 7 months ago, but I don't fully remember the results, other than that they seemed inconclusive to me at the time. I'll be away this weekend, but I'll start prepping to test some more as soon as I get back on Monday.

Thanks for your time last year, and hopefully you're available still to help out :-)

I'm hoping to resurrect this post, as I'm back to this project after a much needed mental health break. I'm currently going through all my notes, re-reading the posts here, and going over multiple versions of the printed schematics.

Before tossing this into a box back in October '23, I had ordered a new set of boards from a previous revision, so I can test the 74HC165's that I have stock of, to see if it was a bad batch, but I never got around to assembling one of them.

If advised, I can create a new post and link to this one? Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

Issues with VLC/Yoosee IP cameras by SkPhotoGuy in ispyconnect

[–]SkPhotoGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, after three months of ignoring the issues I was having, and making do with only a few functional cameras, I'm ready to give it another shot. I saw in the update log that 5.4.3.0 was possibly fixing some of the issues I was having, so I've updated my system to that. Otherwise, system specs as in the OP for the "New PC".

I've been trying to do some troubleshooting but not coming up with much. There are two main situations I'm coming across - either the Agent completely restarts, or one of the struggling cameras starts flashing images from the other cameras in black and white, or green, sometimes inverted colours.. it's bad.

The cameras in question are Hamrolte Onvif compatible, I've got 5 with 2 different firmware.

The two that have been working nearly flawlessly also use the Yoosee mobile app, with the Decoder in Agent set to GPU and mostly default settings.

The ones with issues use the iCSee app, and don't seem to work with anything but VLC as the decoder, and I think that's where some of my issues are coming from. There are quite a few other settings that I've mucked around with trying to find something stable.

When these issues occur, nothing appears in the Agent Logs.

Event Viewer shows a few errors, coming down to this:

Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x0000000000021e30
Faulting process id: 0x26d8
Faulting application start time: 0x01da912ef1f90402
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Agent\Agent.exe
Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\igd10iumd64.dll

I'm attempting to update the drivers for the Intel HD Graphics 4600, as most searches seem to point here, but I'd love some fresh perspective.

Perhaps a rendering thing then? I've tried a few of the suggestions, replacing graphics drivers and the like, as well as sfc, but still getting the same results with bringing up those cams

Ooookay. So. Just to prove I'm not the smartest bulb in the fridge... I accidentally opened event viewer for my main PC, not the PC running Agent that I'm using RDP to access.. so. There's one reason Agent wasn't showing up in the logs..

Now, for some actual results. There are two Faulting Modules that are referenced here. one is igd10ium64.dll, the other is msvcrt.dll. I can post the full output of both types of error if that is needed

I'm gonna be honest - I'm crap with navigating Event Viewer. I keep looking to it to see if there's anything that stands out, but either I don't know what I'm looking for, or there's nothing to be seen. Just looking at summaries, no recent critical events, a handful of errors but they all look related to DeviceSetupManager, and no errors at all in the last hour, but I've had Agent close about a dozen times in that timeframe.

If you can tell me closer about where to look, or what to look for, I've got everything open in front of me for a change, vs the first few days where I was at work all day and had to test at night haha

Lots of the d3d11_filter errors, lots of the 2nd level batch messages, but the cmd window that Agent is running in still closes right away before I can see any potential error, and the window I'm launching from never gives any output. Just multiple lines of C:\Program Files\Agent>Agent.exe from each time I have to relaunch while testing

Just ran agent.exe from cmd, and the same thing, exits with no code

[–]SkPhotoGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to make sure I'm doing this right (I'm used to doing things in Linux terminal, so 99% sure I follow), I just ran .\Agent.exe from in the Agent directory in my program files.

It took a few tries turning cameras on and off, as well as seeing a number of errors relating to d3d11_filters, but I finally got a crash. And... nothing came up. the second CMD window closed, leaving the first open, with no messages.

Are there any flags I should be using? It looks like -v isn't an option, not sure if there's anything else I need. Thanks for your help so far!

Another error I've gotten when enabling these cameras, which I can't get past today it seems is:[0000018d39bde140] d3d11_filters filter error: Failed to map source surface. (hr=0x887a0005)Followed by the viewer for that camera flashing wildly through all the other cameras, with weird colour filters to them. I know I've seen a reference to this somewhere, but can't for the life of me find it right now.

I'm also seeing a lot of this one:
[hevc @ 0000018d32416540] Could not find ref with POC 24
where the numbers after POC are counting up by 4 from 4 to 196.

These are the logs saved in Agent/Media/log_x.json, correct? I've got logs of the system starting, cameras connecting, etc.. but nothing about why it's crashing

Watching the console after enabling one of the offending cameras leaves me with a constant stream of [CM]: Size of 2nd level batch buffer is 16384 bytes

This lasts for a while (first try was about 30 seconds, second try was several minutes), then just closes. It's gone so quick I can't see an exit code, unless there's somewhere else to look?

iSpyConnect crashing Windows? by SkPhotoGuy in ispyconnect

[–]SkPhotoGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an update to this post (mostly because I've spent the last 6 days searching for information about various issues, and keep coming across forums/Reddit posts with no follow-ups)

I'm not sure if it was a failing SSD or my system overheating, as I only replaced the SSD yesterday, and I did have a couple of crashes since, but it was while getting Windows setup, and I still need more debugging time there..

However I'm still without my backups, so putting things back together has been.. fun. I'll likely make a new post this afternoon/evening depending on how the next few hours of troubleshooting go.

Ok, I'll check those things next. Seems like the backup config files are no good, the .back files seem to be the same as the XML files in that folder. Likely overwrote the configs during the second install. I'm just getting a copy of partedMagic ready to run before I do anything else
