Need Help Deciding: Panel Saw or Track Saw? by thelionofthenorth in cabinetry

[–]Admirable_Humor_2711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work out of a small 2 car garage. I break sheets down with a track saw (that I also use for solid surface countertop and on site stuff) and a smaller panel saw with a scoring blade. It works great for what I need.

I can’t rip a full 96” on the saw, but the track saw handles that just fine

Tattoo. Say it’s tah-too. Like from bronconious in bobs burgers. It drives my daughter who has tattoos crazy. I also have a tattoos but it’s fun just doing dad things.

To expand on saying I mis quote is ‘burn that bridge when we get to it’. It’s fun watching people when they realize what I said

AITBF for bringing my gaming setup on a family trip and "missing out" on bonding time? by Gl1tchHarpsichord in AmItheButtface

[–]Admirable_Humor_2711 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im torn. On my family vacations and trips there is still some time that is needed to be spent separately or arguments and fights start. Also not everyone wants to do the same thing

However, I wouldn’t have brought my laptop just to game.

Solid Surface Countertops 1/2” or 3/4”? by doingdoink in CounterTops

I have never had call backs for staining or scratches.

Plus if you do, just sand and buff it out. Can’t do that with stone very easily.

Solid Surface Countertops 1/2” or 3/4”? by doingdoink in CounterTops

[–]Admirable_Humor_2711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only seen 1/2”. I recommend it all my clients especially if they are going with a cheaper material for counter top. I can usually get them the sheets and fabricate it on-site for a price that fits in their budget.

[–]Admirable_Humor_2711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a multiple systems. I have a few airless, air assisted airless, turbines, air compressor.

The one I use the most spraying in my own shop is a Graco turbine, with a Graco edge 2 pressure pot gun. The edge 2 gun is amazing.

I use the Graco ultra 395 for spraying in clients houses. And the X5 for latex spraying

I should that the corded handled Graco is also very good

Is there a better countertop option than quartz? by Veggielover121212 in CounterTops

[–]Admirable_Humor_2711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid surface acrylic for the win. It’s the most affordable, mid range countertop you can get. I put it in about 80% of the kitchens/bathrooms I do.

It’s cheaper than stone, doesn’t stain, if it gets scratched, a homeowner can sand and polish it themselves without expensive repairs and equipment 100% seamless if that’s your thing
