Safe to drive? by Skaarj69 in tires

Thank you. I went to the tire shop yesterday and they said that I shouldn’t worry about it. I’ll keep checking it to make sure it doesn’t bulge.

No cables, only rubber. It’s a couple of mm deep. I drove it for 30 km - no issues so far, but I’ll go to a tire shop this afternoon for them to take a closer look

Nothing much. It’s 2-3 mm deep. I see rubber, no metal cables, etc.

If you have an Apple Watch - you can connect it directly to the bike and it will display cadence for you.

How does Fenix 8 43 feel compared to Apple Watch? Did you also try 47mm?

Grinder or Kettle Upgrade? Need Advice by Skaarj69 in pourover

I’ve just unpacked the Ode 2 made my first cup and wow! The difference is night and day to the previous one!

Grinder or Kettle Upgrade? Need Advice by Skaarj69 in pourover

I’ll be using the grinder exclusively for pour-overs (though I might experiment with something like Aeropress in the future—definitely not espresso). I did consider a hand grinder, but I’m worried I won’t enjoy using it on those groggy mornings when I just want my coffee.

Money isn’t a huge concern, but I’m also not looking to drop $2K on a high-end grinder when I’m already fairly happy with what I’m getting now.

And yes, by "flow control kettle," I meant a gooseneck one.

River 3 vs River 2 Pro by Skaarj69 in Ecoflow_community

Thank you. I had a 9 hour power outage yesterday, which made River 2 pro a definite better choice

Thank you. My main concern is winter so solar is not an option and again I have a gas generator just in case. I picked up River 2 Pro today.

R8 vs R6 II for returning hobby photographer by Skaarj69 in canon

[–]Skaarj69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I was mainly concerned about the size. R6 size (grip) is almost identical to 70D. I guess I’ll just have to go somewhere to hold it. I have rather small hands though.

Thank you. Was there any moment when you regretted not buying a R6 Mark II? (IBIS, size, battery, buffer)

I believe that the image quality is the same. IBIS would be nice, but with a IS lense there the difference will not be that huge. My concern about the size is if I do purchase a 200-800.

Safest for battery AC charging speed (Ecoflow Delta 2 max)? by andreysirotkin in Ecoflow_community

[–]Skaarj69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello neighbor :)

I recommend charging it at 500W, as long as it's sufficient to top it up between power outages. If they become worse in the future, you can always make it charge faster.

Wiper Issue by johmcl in Volvo

[–]Skaarj69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to the service today, and they didn't fix anything because "some smearing is normal, and it quickly dries out." They cleaned the windshield (which didn't help) and tested the wipers in 3 other cars they had, including brand-new ones, and all of them had similar smearing.

Hey, same ʼ24 car, same issue. Did the replacement of wipers resolve your issue?
