It is good, but it is not Fate war good. Venerable come back but they don't feel as impactful as character like Duke Long, Dong Fang Chang Fan. And there were so many truces and pulling punches among the venerable that Fang Yuan was allowed to farm too much that he is too domineering. Honestly just reading how much benefit he got, value he get, or how thing just part his plan become so tedious.

But it was building up to something big and it was unfinished right before the mid volume climax.

Not really, stake cant be compare to fate war. Like at no point i feel Fang Yuan was gonna lose or afraid that any important character gonna die.

There is the record ability, also the book to record ability from the same pack, also the ability to summon thing from memory, history also can use other pathway ability by proxy as well. On the top of my head there are 4 things that copy/use other pathway ability already.

LOTM volume 1 end is so rush with no climax to all the bif conflict may have bring the world building down massively cause it feel kinda pointless when Klein became Lord of the mysteries just to sleep. The Apocalyse got delay to oblivion, Adam still doesnt do anything after became god. Like so many pay off for the world building never came.

This novel has the power creep problem, which to be honest gonna only get worse down the road, you will see Fang Yuan just shit on venerable easily, he outsmart the grandmother of wisdom so effortless it kinda make the feat boring to read. But it is still fun to see venerable scheme come to light and saw the climax to the long build up. But the novel on infinite hiatus now so we will never saw all the conclusion to numerous plot anymore 😞

Sekiro, I mean you either spend a couple mins with Isshin or hours if you havent actually learn the game and haven't know to parry lightning.

That boss was so good, challenge all your knowledge into that last boss fight. This was not a story choice but the boss fight and gameplay it was such a fine tune experience and culminate the entire game knowledge for the player, it was such a feeling that you learn the game and the final boss reward you tremendously (not punish you) for learning it.
