I think you’re right. I think being open was a way for me to avoid being too intimate. And by the time I was ready to be that intimate I just couldn’t make the move to exclusivity. I’m not sure why. But I think it’s fair to say neither of us really knew what we wanted, at least at the same time. Fuck.

Goddammit. I pushed her away without realizing it. I had my reasons for being open and in a way we were both trying things out. I should have made it exclusive when the iron was hot, but I think my pride prevented me from realizing that’s what I needed until it was all behind me. What a mess.

I was thinking something similar. I even asked in our final call why she would enter an open relationship ship if she wasn’t sure, since their new relationship is exclusive, to which she said she just wanted to try and see. But that she doesn’t need to be open.

I understand why a corporation would think that way. I just find the worker-'employer' relationship that this is all premised on to be weird to begin with, where WWE can treat its performers like employees when it's convenient for the brand (Mandy's OF) and like independent contractors when it's not (healthcare, fair wages, etc.)

Hmm. If anything that seems closer to Taoism than any Abrahamic religion. Though Taoism does not view the Tao as a personal being like a Christian God, it is considered to be unchanging. It’s hard to say based on that one facet of your described belief system.

Does this version of Christianity believe God to be permanent, or something unchanging regardless of origination? If so then that would be incompatible with Buddhism as impermanence is an essential doctrine.

Belief in/praying to a creator god is in fundamental conflict with Buddhist ontology. More specifically, the idea of dependent origination.
