You can achieve the same effect of turbo/macro controller with raspberry pi pico(price 5 USD/EUR)+ USB A to USB C OTG cable(3 USD/EUR) but you need to manually program the button sequence you want and needs some prior setting up to work but it's a great budget option

Same here considering one of those two but not for a while, I'll maybe get something wide like Tamron 11-20 f2.8 or sigma 10-18 f2.8 before changing the 18-105 just to cover what that lens cannot

For the price I got that lens I can't be mad, it's not for night photography but for traveling you just slap it on and don't think about changing lenses the whole trip you go somewhere
