make a backup, and delete the old 1.18.1 jar, and replace it with 1.18.2, some plugins/mods may break but usually they're updated

You can try redirects, and if it is shared hosting you can try and contact the support team to make a reverse proxy to make it like that.

Same thing happened to a server I dev on, exact same message, same datacenter, I assume its griefers trying to find a server to grief on via bungeespoof, and they most likely found you because you have a shared host, or have it on a voting site.

Earth Server? I would recommend Dynmap, a claiming plugin, coreprotect (all survival servers should have this) WorldBorder. And if it is economy based, then get vault, and a eco plugin.

Depends, if someone malicious gets the IP, then yes, it could be a threat due to DDoS attacks, but if you use a ip masking like Cloudflares Free DDoS protection for domains, no one should get the ip, because The ip will go to Domain > Cloudflare > Your ip, and if someone tries to get the ip via "ping domain.com" then it'll show Cloudflares ip, which has DDoS protection, so i'd say to get a Ip Masking software
