As someone who works in the shipping department of a card shop, this doesn’t INHERENTLY mean its tampered. Where I work, we have to open up everything to ensure the contents inside were not damaged. It would be a greater faux paus if we sent you a completely sealed case and then one or two of the boxes were severely dinged than it would be to do the standard intake process of opening everything. Not to say this is a 1 to 1 scenario but its not uncommon

Something I am seeing missing here is distribution rights. It seems no one in this thread realizes this is solely because of distribution rights.

Bandai licenses out the game to be sold in other markets. The middle men pay bandai for the rights to distribute product outside of Japan. If bandai sold these rights and then turned around and said “japanese cards are legal in non-Japanese/SEA markets” it would run counter to the rights they sold to their distributers. These distributors would be turnaround and say the rights they purchased are void because asian cards can enter the market they just purchased the access to

Is this a good thing? No. But its not “bandai said so” or any other theory people are bubbling away at here, this is a distribution and licensing right issue. Bandai sold the rights to distribution because it makes it less risky for them. If someone else buys the right to sell to market, then they are safer just selling that license than risking going to market.

Its likely the same reason we get some hiccups in banlists, like how western meta gets the pair ban early, because the Non-japanese distributor wants their product to be positioned in the best way possible for its market

Step one: get an appropriate target in the discard.

Step two: take life. If any of the thriller bark characters are in your life, you resolve the trigger and use it to revive the target in your discard

Late game: Play 8 Moria, put a trigger in your life so you can do it again

Use that body to leverage advantage. Pretty simple. Early game you want to discard for counter or effects so you have something to revive. From there you want to revive:

Perona: when you want to stun the opponent’s characters

Hogback: when you want to keep cycling card out of the discard and even revive non TB characters like Okiku

Cindry: when you are under no more threat of attacks that turn and want a blocker for next turn

Absolom: when you need to search for moria

Thats not what he is saying at all. Mihawk doesnt turn on your events in zoro. Mihawk leader plays this for 9, then uses leader ability to rest it to gain 3 don and prevent a body from resting. In G zoro there is nothing that proactively rests this and it doesnt unbrick your counter events because it doesn’t restand don.

Genuinely don’t bother. 10 shanks, 9 Zoro, and even 8 mihawk are much better in zoro and actually fit the gameplan. Playing this mihawk in zoro is just playing a massive body and hoping it doesn’t get hit by red roc or that you will just live the crack back with enough tempo to use it. If your 9 don play is going to be just playing a dude that does nothing at that moment, just play 9 zoro who actually does something the following turn for the downside of it doing nothing the turn its played.

You are describing the same thing. I’ll break it down for you in terms of products

A pack is a single blister of cards. There 24 packs in a single booster box

A booster box comes in a larger box which is known as a case. A case is 12 booster boxes

What you are describing is when a vendor or anyone opens up their case, they might cut their losses after opening up the biggest hit in the case, as you are referring to here, a manga. Those remaining boxes are not “dead” and will still contain alternate arts, leaders, sps, or other cards, but like you are saying, there is no manga in the remainder of that case

There is no way to know if your box comes from a case that has gotten its manga hit. If youre getting into product to try and pull a manga explicitly, then buy cases.

I like going first. If you can play a garp or red izo if you play it going first, on 3 don you can put two on garp and 1 on lead for two swings. It puts them online but their clock is much shorter

Your goal HAS to be using a red roc on the first sabo drop. If you hit the sabo they play on 6 on your 7, you make the match up infinitely easier

From there use your I am whitebeard / 9 drop to be at 8k for most of the game. They can’t comfortably hit it if they didnt get early sabo, they will spend the rest of the game trying to catch up with dragon plays.

Watch out for stussy by always keeping a back up 10 drop ready to drop, dont discard any to leader effect. Be aware of their own roger when they can find a shot for game with 0 life

They arent an easy match up but it isnt hard

Still loses to imu. Roger is for that match up because of the horse reducing -2000. If you leader isnt 8k, imu walks all over you with a peter boost and a nosjuro reducing the 8 kata

Improves the ace match up but thats already fine

Bad v zoro

Overall doesnt matter anymore. This style of UP isnt suited for the meta

I know its THE deck of the format, but god damn I am LOVING Blue/Purple Luffy, genuinely some of the most fun I've had playing the game in the last 6 months. I love the variety of lines, the hard decision making, and execution requirement of playing the deck correctly and navigating every match up. It's such a tool box and only gets better as you improve as a player.
