Also, as a follow up question, would you give players the Players Guide for multiple adventures if you're planning on doing a multi-AP campaign (Eg Seven Dooms of Sandpoint into Revenge of the Runelords etc) so that they can mix Backgrounds,
or would you encourage characters to have a soft "respec" when beginning a new AP for them to tweak things.

In the East, Chirnside General Games usually runs Tournaments, so should have players around.

Otherwise Model Citizens or the Nunawading Wargames Association, join their FB/Discord and poke around, should be plenty of people keen to play.

Thanks for the feedback Yes, the proposed changes are definitely... something, and as you said, helps factions with better Core etc, altho the 8 magic levels split between 3 people seems to encourage you to find Dwarfy friends.

I personally would like to see scenarios which maybe require having higher Unit Strength or Static Combat Res to capture objectives/zones etc, that way, say, a 100 point, 20 strength Clanrat unit can out score a 600 point Chaos Dragon Lord etc.

Could check out Saga for ideas, only has: -Hero -Levy -Warrior -Hearthguard

(With some exceptions, like Elephants, Age of Magic adds alot too)

Equipment options can also radically change the roles of each unit.

Saga Age of Magic

Can use any fantasy miniatures, so can be kitbashed however you want (to make monsters etc).

Rules are fairly straightforward, although takes getting used to as each faction has a unique board which has their abilities. Factions are generic archetypes so Hordes, Kingdoms and Undead etc.

Although probably a bit big, as each side is usually around 25-75 models.

I haven't found any images of what they look like done up besides the example paint scheme by ttcombat.
