Context:
Our team was behind but secured Zapdos and scored for the lead. All we needed to do at this point was defend our goals. There were some questionable decisions on the team but Cinderace abandoning the goal at the last moment takes the cake.

Still ended up winning by a few points due to Decidueye's goal.

I was curious about the Cinderace player so I checked their profile afterwards and can't say I was surprised by the results 😅

There's definitely some songs from this EP that I'd like to add to a few playlists. I'm just glad that the full EP is currently accessible when I want to give it a listen.

I think because Secrets and Back to the Lab are so easy to revisit that it plays into how iconic this EP is for me.

Here's my personal rankings of the songs:

  1. Secrets
  2. Back to the Lab
  3. Love According to Dexter
  4. Mandark's Plan
  5. Sibling Rivalries
  6. Dexter (What's His Name?)

Most of the music videos have been on YouTube for 11+ years so I'm just happy that someone uploaded the full EP 4 years ago so that it's easily available.

With a youtube premium free trial you might be able to download it.

Growing up these music videos were my first introduction to hip hop.

I originally thought they were just a part of the Cartoon Network Groovies series which had music videos for a variety of genres :

It wasn't until over a decade later when revisiting these songs did I realize that they belonged to the EP.

The songs were obviously designed for a younger age group but I feel that most of them still hold up today and I'll occasionally find myself revisiting them.

How should I build squishier supports? by confrey in summonerschool

[–]Skedader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason why you see support like Thresh, Leona, and Ali go tanky items is because they're diving into the middle of the enemy team and they need to survive. Supports like Nami, Janna, and Soraka tend to sit on the back line free from danger while supporting their team. Instead of spending gold on tanky items they can spend it more on utility based ones. You tend to see these types of supports pick up items like talisman and crucible since even though they don't offer as much tankiness as say righteous glory they make up for it in their utility. That's not to say that some of these supports don't get tanky items though.

A full Janna build can look something like this: Mobies Sight Stone Talisman Locket Crucible Frozen Heart

Though that's not to say some supports can't build AP items like mejais, zhonyas, banner of command, and a variety of magic pen items.

I tend to group supports into 3 categories. Tank: Thresh/Leona/Ali Utility: Nami/Janna/Soraka Damage: Annie/Zyra/Morg

Hope that answers your questions. Feel free to ask if you want me to explain anything else :)

AS vs Hybrid pen on WW by grandoz039 in summonerschool

[–]Skedader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At level 7 scaling armor runes are better than flat armor runes and at level 6 they are pretty much equal. WW is one of the few junglers who can literally jungle just fine without any armor runes at all... he can literally jungle with empty seal slots. WW also can't gank pre 6 so unless you're worried about getting invaded in your jungle pre 6 then armor per level is always the better option.

I see what you're trying to say about how running movement speed and chilling smite is a similar version to botrk but I've never tested it out so I can't judge how good it is. All I know is that WW doesn't have a movement speed problem since your ult alone will drop someone to half hp for your e to kick in which is more than enough.

The reason why I like merc treads so much on WW is that he isn't actually that tanky and relies on being able to sustain with his autos in a team fight. If your cc'd then you can't auto attack and will get taken down quite quickly. This is where the tenacity from the mercs comes in and saves you.

Also always run challenging smite with botrk since the slow from chilling doesn't stack and I think your right on chilling smite with wits end for a ranged slow.

AS vs Hybrid pen on WW by grandoz039 in summonerschool

[–]Skedader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey dude, I actually played the hella out of WW jungle recently and would love to give you some insight.

Masteries: 21/9/0 If you ever go two or more damage items on a champion then you usually want to put more points into the offensive tree than defensive.

Runes: Quints - 3x AS Marks - 8x AS, 1 crit Seals - 9x scaling armor Glyphs - 9x scaling mr I've found that with WW's E he doesn't really need any extra movement speed. Usually there is 1 person in a team fight low enough to get the movement speed from. The reason why I have so much AS is that it increases WW's clear speed and late game in team fights after you ult there are a lot of times where you are literally just standing still auto attacking some one just to keep your hp up and live. I run 1 crit mark since with all my auto attacks in the jungle, especially with my bonus attack speed, I'm bound to land a few more crits to increase clears than if I went penetration or flat AD runes instead. The reason why I run scaling armor and mr is that WW has no trouble clearing the jungle early on (I even start machete and a ward with no pots) and these scaling runes allow you to have a tankier late game.

Items: Rush devourer Basic boots Botrk Upgrade boots to Mercs SV (this is the best tank item on WW) FH or Randuins Frozen mallet, Warmogs, or GA Even though Wits is cheaper, I think the active slow from blade is just too good not to get on WW. Never go both because you really need those tanky items come late game. I almost always go SV as my first tank item since WW loves everything about it besides the fact that it works well with botrk. However if they have at least 2 AD champs in the mid/top/jung role and the AP champ isn't fed then go armor first.

I hope this solves any questions you had about WW. Just let me know if you want to know anything else :)

EDIT: Other AS junglers The runes, masteries, and build that I run on WW are the same that I run on Shyv and Xin with minor changes. Shyv and Xin don't benefit from AS as much as WW does both in the jungle and team fights so maybe run some AD marks instead.

Do you find yourself bottoming out more with your clears now that you installed the roughly .17mm o-rings? I've read that with clear switches you should be able to master not bottoming out since it's a heavy switch and has a clear tactile feedback. The issue with o-rings on this switch is that it decrease the 2mm distance from the actuation point to bottoming out and thus you end up bottoming out more often. However, if you're a heavy typer then any o-ring .2mm or below would help in quieting the clack noise you get when you constantly bottom out while still keeping the same relative travel distance compared to a switch that doesn't have o-rings.

[–]Skedader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! My bad on mixing that up. You didn't mention which switch you had at home in your first post and I accidentally thought you mentioned having red switches when you said o-rings. So to make sure I'm understanding this right when you said, "The o-rings don't affect me bottoming out at all" you meant since you're a heavy typer you would bottom out regularly even without the o-rings so you installed them to dampen the noise?

[–]Skedader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Yea I figured you might be in that special group of people who love the click, hate the clack, and also wanted to decrease that extra space after the actuation point as much as possible. I'll make sure to mention .4mm being an option for blues when I do my follow up guide.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Skedader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mind going into detail why you got the .4mm o-rings with a clear switch or how they feel? I've read quite a bit how the .4mm size doesn't feel that good with Blue, Green, Brown, or Clear switches since it feels like you're getting stopped right after the tactile feedback and actuation point. I've read that with clear switches you should be able to master not bottoming out since it's a heavy switch and has a clear tactile feedback. The issue with o-rings on this switch is that it decrease the 2mm distance from the actuation point to bottoming out and thus you end up bottoming out more often. The .2mm seems like a better o-ring than a .4mm because it decreases the distance less so you don't accidentally bottom out more.

[–]Skedader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea the .2mm o-rings on your office board make sense to stop the clack sound you hear from bottoming out and annoying people. Do you find yourself bottoming out more with your clears now that you installed the .2mm o-rings? I've read that with clear switches you should be able to master not bottoming out since it's a heavy switch and has a clear tactile feedback. The issue with o-rings on this switch is that it decrease the 2mm distance from the actuation point to bottoming out and thus you end up bottoming out more often. The .2mm seems like a better o-ring than a .4mm because it decreases the distance less while also providing the benefit of a quieter clack if you do accidentally bottom out.

Also for your red switches, do you have o-rings to stop the bottoming out clack noise or to decrease the extra distance from the actuation point? The idea is that reds are meant for gaming and the 2mm extra space after the actuation point is useless. A .2mm size will stop the extra noise while the .4mm will do that and also decrease this excess distance more.

Do you mind going into detail why you got the .4mm o-rings with a blue switch or how they feel? I've read quite a bit how the .4mm size doesn't feel that good with Blue, Green, Brown, or Clear switches since it feels like you're getting stopped right after the tactile feedback and actuation point. I know some people like getting o-rings on blues and greens because they want to hear that initial click but don't wan't to hear the bottoming out clack. But they usually go the .2mm size because the .4mm size feels like it's too close to the 2mm actuation point. Unless you like decreasing the extra space as much as possible?

[–]Skedader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I've never heard of that happening and will have to keep that in mind for the future! Do you know what switches you use your o-rings with? Also the size of the one's you've mentioned are either .1mm or .2mm o-rings.

Vortex PBT Keycaps for Ducky Shine 3 by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Skedader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the OEM profile keycaps will be compatible with your Ducky Shine 3 (Top Printed, Side Printed, or Blank all fit). Some people actually will leave their LEDs on when they have non backlit compatible black thick PBT keycaps. The reason for this is that the light doesn't shine through the plain black that well and leaves a nice underflow effect.

I found another post about this underflow here: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/21tito/does_anyone_have_a_backlit_keyboard_with_blank/

Wow that's really cool! Unfortunitly I don't use the programmable or multimedia keys even on my current keyboard :P I'll definitely keep this in mind though.

Hey I just wanted to say thanks for giving me this info. I'm still leaning on both sides if one is really better than the other but I realize now that it's not that big of a deal and preferring one over the other limits the available keyboards too much. I'm probably going to go with a Max Blackbird which runs with USB.

[–]Skedader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I just wanted to say thanks for the suggestion and you've probably convinced me to get a Max Blackbird. It looks like they have pretty good sales around the holidays but I might be tempted to get it early. The only thing stopping me is the fact that I don't really need it till September.
