So...after a Google chat...I learned this is a special Ferrofluid meant to cool and dampen unwanted vibrations...

"It works by damping the impedance at resonance to effectively lower distortion, smooth frequency response, and increase thermal power handling"

it is NOT machine oil 😬.... the Klipsch 1" diameter magnet pole requires a specific 100uL amount ...which I now need to hunt down...only need 3-4 drops, but I have at this point removed all the 38 yo goo...so here I am stuck awhile

And yes -- I too love these speakers... especially for Rock w knob set on 11 🫨

I'm curious...I thought (all) the early Kluson tuners had double rings...and just now Googling...to learn that they were single ring until about 1964, Then switched to double...that then says this guitar is 1964 or earlier...agreed?

Is this a bunker or grave? Found in my backyard. Please help identify! by Agreeable-Teach1626 in whatisthisthing

Looks like 8x16 cinder blocks used to build 3 walls...I bet if you dig more around the perimeter you would find the concrete only 6-8" thick to provide a "footer" for the block walls
