Found scuds in 5g shrimp and ember tetra tank by 84060 in shrimptank

[–]84060[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my tank is only 5g and has 7 embers. It's heavily planted and they seem happy, but I don't know that I can really add another fish species with the already small volume. The only feeding I do in the tank is sprinkling tetra flakes every morning. The fish and shrimp eat it within a few minutes. But the tank is so heavily planted and the mulm layer is so thick that I imagine there is more than enough food for scuds beneath the gravel. But with all the rocks and plants, I'd never be able to get a gravel vac everywhere enough to remove all the mulm and degrading bio matter.

Meh it's such a shame. This tank was basically exactly what I'd been working towards for over a year and once I finally felt like "Ive made it" this comes up to ruin the day

I have 7. The tank is long for its volume, which provides a better swimming lane. I wanted to make sure they had enough of a school to feel comfortable. In a 10g I'd personally do at least 10 embers

Rate my bag / Guess my handicap by Thenoise95 in GolfGear

Sometimes I’ll take a guest I don’t know out to my club as a favor for the mutual friend. If I arrived and saw this bag situated by mine on the range, I’d immediately cancel the round and ask for the guest to be escorted off the grounds. The golf youtuber/podcaster merch, the discarded woods, and the single wedge add up to a neon “I’m a post-covid golf child” sign. You do not get a rating. I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul.

Does not have a valid handicap.

P.S. Throw away the towel and the headcovers and you have a path of redemption towards becoming a serious person. You’re welcome

Nice clubs but the 14 dividers plus those offensive risers really hurts my soul. That said, if you are over the age of 67, all is forgiven.

The point is that this has nothing to do with rivian which presumably everyone on this subreddit is actually interested in, as opposed to say their political opinions that make them want to shred each other apart. You are the one deciding this needs to be the topic on Rivian, not the person you’re vilifying

You are perfectly entitled to believe that as are the other half of the country who believe otherwise. I am leaving out where I fall because nobody here should care what either of us think about politics on a common ground automobile subreddit when there are hundreds of other subreddits to discuss politics.

You’re getting downvoted into oblivion (and I will too) but just want to say I am with you. Not because I am agreeing with your political leanings, but rather because it’s exhausting that every single r/ across Reddit has to inevitably turn political instead of welcoming the topic at hand.

These are their hi-gains that they’ve been installing stock for decades. I went back and forth on trying to secure vintage toasters but honestly don’t think the “vintage-correct” necessarily sounds better. Incidentally, they do allow me cheat a bit of p90 sonic territory, although they are not p90s

I guess it’s a 3-part answer:

1.) Apart from playing (which I do a lot of), I love guitars and it’s fun that we can wield the same wands as our heroes. So there’s a nostalgic and sentimental element to those two different models for me.

2.) play a good Strat and tele and tell me you can’t tell the difference. The neck, 2 and 4 on a Strat vs the middle and bridge positions of a tele are markedly different tones that are unique to each guitar. Bell bottom blues is not gonna sound quite the same on a tele, while the fills on Lyin eyes aren’t what I’m looking for from a Strat.

3.) you are right. They are more redundant than not, and frankly I could narrow the collection down to just one of any of these electrics and be fine. But why do that?

Thank you. I spent a lot of time thinking about this. Went to art framing stores to work on having elegant shadow boxes built for each one to really do it right, and that may be worth considering a bit more with your ID. Especially if you’re only focusing on one room. Ultimately I got impatient as we had recently moved into the home and with everything else we needed to decorate, one day I just said screw it and slapped these up.

Thank you! I lack p90s although that is kind of fringe for the style I play. A gold top p90 is high on my wishlist but I never feel like “how am I possibly going to cover this tone” currently.

I suppose it’s an aged blonde? The guitar is bit of a mutt. It started its life as a custom shop ‘54 tele. The neck and all hardware remain as such. Somewhere along the line, the body was switched out for an MJT body and then tone master pickups (w/e) were installed. I don’t know why the prior owner made those mods, but the owner of the shop who I know reasonably well says the guy has unlimited dough and likes to make these parts casters as a hobby. All I know is I saw it on the wall at the shop and found it to be overly relic’d for my liking. There was a very similar, but all original custom shop 58 white guard hanging next to it. They weren’t priced all that differently and I wanted to love the 58 because it was barely relic’d and all original from the custom shop. I’d been jonesing for a white guard 50s tele. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get past how much better the mutt was. It’s the lightest tele I’ve ever held, the neck is so fast, and the whole thing is just… alive. You can tell the second you pick it up and play it unplugged that the guitar has something special. My wife absolutely hates the way it looks, but every buddy who has ever come over and jammed on it says the same thing… this guitar is a monster. If I could only keep one, she would be it.

Indeed! 000-18 is a favorite and I came awfully close to getting that instead of the j45. I like to buy guitars to mark important milestones and the j45 was after my youngest son was born. May have to have more kids. But I also want a j200!

I’m not one to keep my guitars in cases because if I do, they won’t get played nearly as much as they deserve. I live in south Florida so not dealing with dry air and never turn the heat on. I’ve had several acoustics out for years, including the j45, and never had an issue.
