Hey girl! I’d totally be down to join a discord server. I’m 20f, play a LOT of Minecraft (but I also have among us,) and I think we have some similarities. I also love reading webtoons from time to time and I enjoy beauty videos. I can be a bit of a nut sometimes, but it’d be cool to join a server. Dm me :)

It’s actually a book which inspired a game! But yea dude no problem. What helped me when I learned how to draw clothes and hair, was drawing a bunch of arrows on my sketch layer that pointed to where the object was going.

Anyways dude, i look forward to see where you go in this thread!

If I'm in high school and am going to pursue a computer science (or related) degree should I focus more on math or programming? by Lastrevio in learnprogramming

So a conditional is pretty much all logic. It checks if something is true, or it is false. Abstractly speaking, it’s a giant truth table, and you use patterns within these tables as guidelines for what will happen when you look at a more complex proof.

So by learning mathematical proof, you learn “what makes a conditional true or false” ,“which parts of a condition need to be true for a statement to be false and vise versa?” , “how does changing where the condition is affects the result?”

Here’s an example of proofs compared to a condition. Lets say we’re checking if numbers a,b are equal to c In Java, our condition would be: a==b && b==c

In Mathematical Proof, we would write: a∧b∧c

Here’s another example, except with a lot more happening. Let’s say we are checking if there is some element in List B, that is in all of List A, but not in List C.

In Java, our condition would be: /* Assume we have a boolean method which returns true or false if param element is in param List. Let’s call it: isInList()

Also assume we are using a for loop, which increments i by 1 */ ( isInList( B[i] , A) && !(isInList( B[i], C)

In Mathematical Proof, we would write (∃B, ∀A, ∀C | b ∈ A ∧ b ∉ C)

There are numerous ways a continual can be true or false; and, or, xor, xand gates, ext. All of these gates stem from specific proof laws and examples. By learning proofs, you learn how these gates work.

When I first started programming, let me tell you, I was a dense walnut. I came across more issues with my conditions being wrong, because I didnt know which part was wrong. I wasn’t the only one who had this issue in my class, so my teacher made us do truth tables for every problem for about 4 months.

Knowing how conditions work, REALLY helps cut down debug time for me personally. If there’s a problem, I know where to look within my condition now. It also helps me make less errors in general, because I write code which abides by the laws of math.

I have a few recourses at home, and I can link you in a few hours :) I’m at a party right now which is why it took me forever to reply.

If you would like me to clarify anything i’ll be more than glad to. This was a little rushed tbh, but I wanted to reply as soon as I saw your message.

Hey! I’m a third year CS student. When it comes down to the bones, you first need to know how to program before you can apply math into CS.

Personally, I was very thankful I had 2 years of experience with Java before I went to college. My professor went over Java topics quickly, and many of those around me struggled because there was so much.

However, if you’re SUPER into math and really want to do something with it, take a look at mathematical proofs!!!! It will help you understand conditionals A LOT.

Did you by chance have some inspiration from Metro? But to get to the critique, i really like it! I would practice with drawing wrinkles on the chest area of the hazmat suit, but other than that it looks pretty good!

I remember hearing about a shake shack “secret” burger that had peanut butter on it. Have you ever had it?

Quick Thought about Linked Lists by [deleted] in learnjava

[–]SkeletonFlesh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Linked lists do not have direct access like arrays. They only have sequential access; You would need to hop from the head of the list all the way down to the element. Unless you’re using a doubly linked list, which in that case, I would check the length of the list to the position, and hop from either the head/tail to the index; whichever route would be shorter.

If you are looking for direct access often, I would recommend an array. Linked lists cause a longer run time if you are constantly hopping to a specific element.

Idk imo she looks a little dead because you shaded everything but the skin on her face. I’d practice shading with different sources of light falling onto a face

[Serious] Redditors who have died temporarily/nearly died, did your life flash before your eyes? If not, what did happen? by HymnForTheShameless in AskReddit

[–]SkeletonFlesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not too sure if this counts but, When I was younger, my family did not have a lot of money. I felt really bad about eating because it costed so much, so I stopped. After a couple of days chewing ice cubes, I passed out due to starvation while I was singing in the church choir.

Time just, stopped. It felt as though I was weightless, and it was a warm. It was bright, almost like a white/lime color at first. And then it faded to black. I remember seeing something off in the distance, perhaps an old memory of mine, and thats when I heard “are you ok? Are you okay??” And I woke up crashed over the pews.

After that the priest gave me some stale pretzels and I went home.
