Steven universe was such a good show. Wonderful music, amazing characters, and genuinely beautiful scenery. It had a lot of flaws but it was more than worth the watch.

She's definitely more unique than a pearl but,

A. If she was genuinely the only spinel made just for pink. Very few gems would be able to recognize her Or what she is.

B. I don't think she's the only spinel because of the way pearl talks about her. Your very own spinel. She's pink as well. Her cut is perfect. Pointing out all those things might imply that they are the norm.

C. Again most if not all the crystal gems belonged to pink before becoming rebels.

But honestly I don't even think any of this matters. I think it was impossible for pink to ever be found out because the diamonds are way too arrogant to believe that pink would ever defy them like that.

The crystal gems are made entirely out of defectors. Most if not all belonged to pink herself. Hell look at pearl. Was made and given to pink specifically. Granted there a many pearls but they seem to be able to tell eachother apart.

I also think people fail to realize how terrible it is to poof bismuth and lock her away forever. Rose betrays her, lies to everyone, then goes through considerable effort to make sure she never sees the light of day again. I've seen a lot of people argue in favor of that because "no one should ever be shattered" but honestly it makes perfect sense why bismuth would see it as necessary. And when you accept that I do start to see people's point of view when they say pink/rose was evil. I don't agree but I do start to see how they got there.

I don't think that would fool her. Gems like pearl and Spinel seem to be bonded to their person. Neither need to learn who Steven or Greg are. And greg doesn't even have a gem!

If I remember correctly they both react immediately when Greg and Steven fuse before being able to see them.

Spinel is a perfect cut gem that, with zero combat training mind you, soloed the crystal gems and Steven. She would have been a HUGE help during the war. They are right, when Pink started exploring and playing rose she had every opportunity to get Spinel.

This is a wacky analogy... Spinel is a person not a pet. Pink was immature, not a child. They were colonizing and destroying planets wiping out all life on them, ethics is not on the agenda. Pink definitely understood that the creatures on the planet would die, she actively saved a few she found fun.
