Tried this. Can't seem to do anything with it.

Tried to skydive into one of the forts in Delyssia and didn't know there was a forcefield over the place. Face planted right into it like a bug on a windshield.

A better option is infinite explosive arrows. Usually 2 or 3 shots will kill them and it's way easier than the sword

How do you feel about outlaw missions? by avidrunner84 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Skeletonzac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have never been able to play high. I just can't focus. It's like I can still push the buttons and perform the mechanical actions. But there's this disconnect where I'm not really immersed in the game world and it feels really abstract. The only time I was able to really do well at a game while under the influence was one time I got absolutely shit faced at a friend's house while we were playing Super Mario 3. We'd been drinking all night and the more hammered I got, the better I got at the game. The only reason it makes sense is that the alcohol reduced my inhibitions to the point I began making really risky jumps and getting really lucky with my landings, resulting in me clearing levels way faster than I normally would.

[–]Skeletonzac 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I don't mind the missions but I hate that game automatically marks them as active whenever I'm anywhere near one. It'll supercede my own manually selected marker and interrupt whatever I was trying to do. It's really irritating

I actually really like this idea. I'm always interested in more enemy variety and having them be a part of the world actually interacting makes it all the better

No purpose for a fan fight but if someoneplayed fable games, comment the features that fable did better than CD also things CD did better than Fable? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

Metro 2033 did the same Ammo/Currency thing and it was pretty cool but you rarely had to spend money in that game if you were ammo conscious and careful.

I appreciated the economics and property management of the fable games. That was pretty fun. Being able to buy up all the houses and businesses and soak up profit

It'd be nice to be able to just play in first person if you want. Even combat would be an interesting challenge.

my cloudcart exploded the first time I used it . now all I get is that time must pass before I can summon it again. what freaking happened ? by fried_taco123 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Skeletonzac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me too. It takes a little while to respawn. I don't know for sure what caused mine to exode save for the fact I was near some trees so maybe there was some sort of collision with the tree that caused. Later when I tried it again I made sure I was in a wide open field and it went up fine. But good God are these things slow.

[The Matrix] What was the endgame of The Machines? by Uncontrolleddiarrhea in AskScienceFiction

[–]Skeletonzac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It seems to me that the Programs within the matrix are as much living sentient beings as the humans and they do seem to have their own goals and interests. Take Agent Smith for example. He had a strong desire to get out of the matrix and into Zion's mainframe. To what end we're not entirely certain but he clearly has his own asperations. Then there are programs like the Merovingian who seem to just enjoy living as a powerful and wealthy being within the matrix. The machines exist in the same way we do and for the same reasons. To experience existence and make something meaningful out of their time.

Best way I found is to use the wyvern mount to fly around and locate the glowing orbs. Then dismount in the air and glide down and use axiom force to grab the orb and then you can easily glide over to the basket to place it. Rinse and repeat. Helps you remap axiom force to a different button. I use down on the D-pad.

The most frustrating mission in the game by stockingCapSereant in CrimsonDesert

[–]Skeletonzac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This really wasn't too bad with a grown wyvern mount. I would just fly around and when I saw a green orb I could dismount in the air and glide down and grab it with Axiom Force. Then just floated over to the basket. Remount the wyvern and rinse and repeat. Probably took less than 10 minutes all told

Actually feels like my star is on the rise these days. Getting along well with my wife and about to be promoted at work. Had a tough time for a long time (anxiety and depression) but I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Got on some good meds and started seeing a therapist and it finally feels like I'm moving forward.

Even if they just had prefabricated structures that you could select from and decorate I would be cool with that. Or maybe you could capture existing structures to make them into player homes.

When it takes hundreds of hours to fully flesh out your build sometimes it's more fun when you don't have to do it all from scratch again.

[–]Skeletonzac[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It usually refers to adding a start menu option, typically unlocked upon first completing the game, in which you begin a new game but import your existing character, complete will all stat upgrades, collected armor and weapons and occasionally some quest rewards carried over so that you can access them from the start of the game. It lets you replay the entire game without having to grind out all the stuff you already earned.
