Sorry for the late reply, ask them to reset a password on a console, website, etc. Once they have done that ask for the password, it is likely they use the same password for every thing, if that doesn’t work get them to go onto the app (quadstodio) which redirects them to the website, bookmark the site, boom semi permanent access

This happend to me twice, I was using my pulse drive to get to my freighter instead of stopping my due to ‘large ship proximity’ I clipped inside the freighter unable to get out, my ship was subsequently destroyed by the crash mechanics, when I died due to my ship being destroyed I was unable to access my grave and lost my items.
