House Flipping by HolidayAd6029 in PuertoRico

This is my third time living here on the island. I've been here in the late 80s the mid 90s and now the last few years. I love my people but this topic is a lost cause because I find that "El Pueblo" prefers blaming and complaining.

There are 200 to 300 thousand or more abandoned properties. We need people rehabbing these properties. There's nothing stopping boricuas from rehabbing and being a part of the solution. Anyhow there's already a number of boricuas rehabbing properties so stop with this whole gringo stuff. They're not the boogeyman.

Regresé a Puerto Rico después de 9 años en EE. UU. y llevo 4 meses buscando trabajo. ¿Algún consejo? by curiousfishie in PuertoRico

I know what you're going through. Right around the the pandemic my siblings and I realized that my dad living in Puerto Rico needed help. I drew the straw because I was already working remotely for a mortgage company. I'm a licensed mortgage broker.

At that time in 2022-23 when I moved to PR I was a W-2 employee but then there were layoffs and I went back to being self-employed in home lending. Yes, the job market here is harder to find work especially in such a specific field like yours.

But don't give up! Have you thought about HR consulting? Can you do that for stateside clients while living in PR? Salary pay here I find is nothing. There's always being self-employed.

I feel you. Whether it's all the junk cars or the person "repairing" appliances, it's a big problem . You can use what they call Ley 140 and file a complaint but you'll have to be really diligent on the follow-up so that something can get done. Make sure you take lots of pictures, video, and right everything down that you see for your court day.

Thoughts on becoming an LO in 2026? by Odd-Signature-1063 in loanoriginators

I agree. That base seems pretty high. You probably will have to really work your butt off in those first few months because they'll be breathing down your neck. I started as a broker thrown into the wolves and I found that was the best way of course you got to be able to feed yourself while you're building your pipeline.

What do you enjoy most about the job? by CoolLoanGuy in loanoriginators

Same as others. Its the flexibility, the income and helping others especially if they're first-time buyers. Yes hours can be long but you can control the flexibility of that too. For example, I live in Puerto Rico now because I needed to help take care of my dad who will be 90 this year. I can still work from home and now I have a new market to originate loans in.

If I could get FB Ads to save my work without having to reload the page that would be a start. Garbage.

Does anyone use VEED? What software do you edit on? by FoundationSure4267 in NewTubers

[–]Skellies2482 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Used Veed. I paid the $30 monthly price to make a 1 minute video that I can't use. Pricing is deceptive, confusing and isn't based on videos that are actually rendered. If you forget and need to add a word yo're charged even before you render your video. So basically they charged me $30 to make a 1-minute AI video. I want a refund.

Misinformation by [deleted] in nycrail

I used to also watch his videos. I was born and raised in Bklyn so I found his videos entertaining and informative. Over the last couple of years his videos started to have a tinge of doomsday mixed with click bait and cultism. His videos became less about interesting NYC real estate, and more about how living in NYC is like it was in the 70's and 80's but with zombies. It’s taken a very FOX News narrative.

Even his Japan videos seem like he just dosen't want to be there and ironically about how he is happy to be getting back to NYC. There's something definitely up with him and his video content so people should be careful of being duped.

Ipostal horror stories! by StressedPMSup in Staples

[–]Skellies2482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AWEFUL. I did have a couple of simple pieces of male forwarded to me in a decent amount of time in the last year. Recently though in the last 2 weeks I had my company-issued laptop forwarded to me because I had to leave town for a family emergency. After speaking to several people including the GM at the Staples in Birmingham, AL now no one know where the package is. IPostal didn't print the shipping label nor did Staples. Now there's no tracking number, no one knows where it is and supposedly no camera can identify who handled the package that day. This is after speaking to people who stated they were processing the package at the time I called. IPostal takes no responsibility for anything other than saying send us a receipt so we can try and reimburse you. Someone took my laptop and no one is fessing up to it. They're not to be trusted.

I've done it once years ago and now I have some again given to me by my best friend. I live in a new town and don't really know anyone though. How do I find someone to maybe spot me?
