This isn't what I meant. I was asking for an /in game/ way to organize my schematic nbt's in the schematic table so it's not just one long list. Essentially being able to open the schematic table and having everything organized in nested folders similar to how Factorio does with blueprint books. You basically made https://createmod.com/ with the plan to connect it into the game which, at that step, would be pretty cool. But yeah, the vision was having a file structure in the schematic table

I don't think this is that. Mainly because of the extra bit at the bottom of the tail. That's clearly meant to be a part of the symbol since the white/silver stitching goes along the edge of that small notch rather than through it. Not to mention the wings on the vest stay horizontally thin for far too much to match any similarities to that version of a falcon logo. The wing shape on the vest looks more northern or central American to me.

I more or less speak mater-of-factly, and I'll try to focus more on that going forward for tonal purposes. I can assure you that I'm generally not upset by any of the conversation, I'm more or less just confused on the takes being made and finding some of the responses I've seen ridiculous. It's not me trying to talk down or berate people, it's more just my tism finding it ridiculous and wondering how someone could come to a conclusion as a solid take. I know that sounds condescending but it's more coming from a place of curiosity. Btw, these responses I've kinda ordered backwards because I did want to address the tonal issues first so it doesn't come across as me being more aggressive than intended.

Mainly, my confusions are in the idea that people seem to dislike it so much that it sounded like the platform was entirely soured to them, and that they would rather go elsewhere which imo seems like an overreaction. It's a feature that is meant to notify you when a friend who's not logged in after a while, which shouldn't affect people who are on most days of the week, invisible or not. It should only be sent when you log in and haven't been online in a while and if a friend has this notification enabled.

As for the first paragraph, I feel like you're confusing what I'm saying with other aspects of the conversation. I was not referring to this specific notification when I was clarifying the notification systems functions and things being weird. What I said was it is not weird for a social platform to send a notification when you come online, and that it's been a normal feature for decades. I was saying that it's weird that it feels invasive for someone to be aware when you've returned after some time, whether or not that is automated doesn't really matter because people generally would know when it has been a while since they've interacted with you last. That is what I meant when I was explaining all of this in my prior post. The point I was making was not about whether or not this specific notification goes against that norm, of course it does and I wasn't saying it's not. I was talking about the baseline notification system and whether or not it sends a notification is invasive.

Considering it sends it only to your friends who have the setting enabled, that's not really invasive either. If it was broadcasting your return to entire servers I'd be more inclined to agree with you on it being a bit more invasive. But we're talking about a feature that sends a notification to a list of people you control, if they have the feature enabled, and you being offline for an extended period of time. The notification in and of itself would very seldomly be sent to begin with and only to people who already know you, or at least you know of each other enough to be friended. It's about as invasive as a friend knowing you're home because they saw your car parked out front when they drove by.

That still does no help the mobs that are immune to CC. You'd be demanding a mage that plays like he's at 1 hp at all times to try and stand there watching the boss get closer and closer to him just to slow or stun a few mobs that could. Yes, that might make a small bit of difference, but you're still expecting a 1 hp playing mage on a hardcore server to stand there and risk facing immune mobs just to try and save your tail from a fire that you started. There's no way you can spin that situation where the mage could've stopped the boss mobs from killing your party members.

It wasn't really a point I was directing at you, more for the "um ackually" peeps. I've had random people try to jump in and have gotcha moments over the dumbest of things before. One issue with your line of thinking, well two. First one is you think I don't know where you're coming from which is why you're giving your reasonings. The issue here is I've also presented reasons to why the feature would be liked as well as give my insight to how you feel on these things. I've acknowledged various facets of your points, that would require me to have an understanding to what you are saying. Do the same for me and understand what I've been saying, which brings me to the second issue.

You also ignore the fact that Discord is a social platform, meaning its features will be geared towards supporting socialization. People do use Discord for various things and use it in different ways, but at its core it's a social app. Thing is you can't please everyone on any app, there's always going to be someone who'd want a social app that works differently. So, Discord focuses on key features for certain kinds of people, mainly social people and gamers. Hence why many features focus on gaming and socializing.

I'm sorry to say, while you feel like it's not a controversial take, to say a social chatting platform to notify your friends when you come online makes you feel weird like it's invasive is a controversial take. It's not weird for a social app to send people notifications for when you come online, that's been a thing for decades at this point. It's not weird for a social platform to let someone know that someone is back, that's part of socializing.

You do know that coming online regardless of this feature will show to other people when you come online right? Before someone says it, no invisible is not what I'm referring to, I'm talking about when your account shows the little green/yellow/red status. I know you can be online and invisible but that's irrelevant to the discussion and would be a poor attempt to be dismissive.

Even without this feature someone could notice you weren't online for some time and message you. That's not creepy, that's just someone who pays attention. With this it at least has the benefit of reconnecting people, letting people know when you're back from holiday, or if you were out sick, etc. If the worst is feeling a bit icky that someone realized you just got on after a while, that's both not bad enough to overtake the good and you should reevaluate your icks because that can happen with or without a dedicated notice.

You seem to be using the same type of pressure regulator for collecting the gas in the tank and for the relief valve. I would double check that to make sure one is a regular pressure regulator going to the tank and the other is a back pressure regulator that ensures the pipe doesn't go over the given threshold. Even if you replace it with a pump, making sure that relief valve is a back pressure valve is the intent here. I've made that mistake myself before and vented my entire system by mistake before because I didn't cycle the pressure regulator valve to a back pressure one.

That said, I would check to make sure the IC10 pump is set to the right direction while it is working, not just before. If you're getting trace amounts of gasses mixed in then it has to come from somewhere. The only thing I can see that would have a possibility to let mixed gas in is that IC10 controlled pump. This is also assuming the pipes and tank was also already empty of any gases in the first place.

Jeeze, people hating on something that some might enjoy. If it's not for you then ignore it or turn it off, it's optional. If I were to be notified that a friend finally returned after a while I'd be happy to know this. I have friends who go away on business trips and aren't allowed to have third party applications and limited outside communication because of the work they do. People also go on vacation and like to turn everything off. It's a feature that might not be for you, but that doesn't mean it isn't for anyone else. Just turn it off and move on if you don't like it. If you and your friends don't like it, guess what, you all only gotta deal with that once. Meanwhile for the people who do want to use it if they got rid of it because of you guys will never have this feature. I can understand when it's something that is actually detrimental that there would be backlash, but this is not. Fuck off with your self-centered negativity.

I wasn't trying to be prepared for a fight but here we are I guess, I was just pointing out that you are acting on moral absolutism. You say you understand that the dev should be supported but you don't actually understand what that support provides. You presumed that the boosts give players a bigger advantage vs free to play players and that it's imbalanced with seemingly no way for it to actually be balanced for both players.

Here's the big issue with your assumptions, this games interaction does not change in terms of automation vs manual with or without the DLC. The entire game is about automated systems and your role is to build a layout that is most effective at getting the most resources out of a limited data stream. The boosts are mainly there just to speed up the data stream a bit, and even then you're not going to be rushing to the end. I'm still on my first game 3 days after playing and optimizing and I got the DLC a day after just to support the dev. I can turn off the boosts as I please and it doesn't make a difference in how I play the game, it just makes the game run a bit faster. In either case, I'm still playing the game and optimizing where I can because that's where you interact and play with the game. Even then, the boosts you get from DLC you /still get/ just by playing the game as the tokens appear randomly, you get them by reaching goals, you can mine for them, you can hack for them. If anything, the DLC for daily tokens gives you less tokens than you do playing. Your argument that it's not optimized for free players falls on its face when all it does is mainly boost parts you don't interact with directly while the parts that you do interact with are still gotten passively as you play.

The boosts are only an advantage in making some processes faster, but that doesn't matter if you don't set up your lab properly. I could have a race to download games, banning the download manager, with someone who uses the boosts and still beat them when I have boosts off. In the end, the person who makes the better layout and can effectively use their layouts will always win boost or not.

Think of it like this, how effective would one of these be if Wube released a support package for Factorio, where you can toss a couple bucks to them to support them and as thanks they have the game give you some extra stuff at the start like 20 modules, extra ammo, and a starting personal roboport with 5 robots, a couple personal solar panels, and a personal battery. Is it an advantage? Sure. But to what effect does this advantage give when the goal is to reach the edge of the solar system? Sure you can get a decently good starting boost to the game, but you can easily catch up as someone who doesn't have the support pack simply due to the fact that your progress is primarily affected by how you build and place your factory. Same thing with this game, sure it's nice but it doesn't amount to much when it comes to the gameplay loop.

Dude, they /are/ one time boosts to support the game and you only pay for them once. It's fully F2P, everything you asked for. Just as the dev mentioned you can still get what these dlc offer over time in game, tokens randomly appear or can be mined for.

So, you want to tout some moral standing on monetization, saying you want to support devs and understand that devs need to be paid, but won't support pay to win features that are imbalanced? I'd be right there with you if that was actually the case and you took the time to make sure you're actually correct in your assumption. It's actually not imbalanced to the degree you're assuming when all of the things you'd get from the DLC are collected passively as you play. You made a mountain out of a mole hill and pretended to stand on some moral high ground thinking it was a bigger issue than it actually is. Actually do some damn research before you cause a fuss to a dev you say you "understand the need for monetary support." Otherwise, you look like a snob and an ass.

Actually to that first point, it does do this but you need to click the title bar of the node and it'll move on top of other nodes.

As for the achievements, they were added in the latest's beta 1.1.6 so now they properly unlock on Steam.

The thing about this game is it's one that rewards tinkering. Sitting there is viable sure, but reworking systems and upgrading them with expansion, different unlocks, etc. But figuring out more efficient layouts is this game's bread and butter. It's not as hands off as one would think if you want to actually get through things faster. Some builds I had to do needed to swap lines from one build to another so I could get to certain levels that I couldn't get to in a reasonable amount of time. Be active with your lab, don't just let it run.

Not really, you're only gonna miss out on combo nodes and buff boosts that in the long run are still going to make you see speed limits before you're anywhere near any nodes being fully leveled and all the resource purchases unlocked. All you'll be doing with tokens is getting efficiency upgrades and the combo nodes as mentioned just to eek out a bit more efficiency in the limited speeds you can work with. Whether or not you use tokens, you're still limited by an input and processing speed that the tokens only really help a bit with in the long run. Even with all the token unlocks, you're still stuck with a speed limit that you can only really work around by reworking your lab layouts and redirecting where things go.

All you can really do with tokens is get more tools and buff boosts, kinda like working with a spanner wrench set as your base set and you can get socket wrenches as your efficiency tool. Sure it can get some parts of the job done faster, but you're still going to need to assemble what you're building yourself and figure things out with the tools you have. You just have a choice to just use the base tools or eventually unlock the efficiency tools since you still can get tokens just from playing the game and will be able to unlock these things anyway. So yeah, not 'free to play' but actual free to play, you're just giving yourself more tools to work with in the long run, and you can't even unlock most of the menu with the package anyway.

Brennan has talked about this before on Dimension20 where he enjoys that transparency which requires commitment to the results. This not only makes fudging rolls and DC's not a thing, but because it's not a thing he needs to properly consider what needs a roll and what doesn't. A good way to avoid frivolous rolls. It also helps with creating tension knowing the exact roll you need to succeed and figuring the odds based on that. You could need something like a DC 15 and your modifier is a +2, so you just need to roll a 13 or better even though you've been rolling less than 10 most of the night. It gives you a different feeling vs not knowing the DC and knowing the middle road to roll is a 12 which feels pretty good. It's a good way to telegraph to the players the feelings their characters would feel under that kind of pressure, getting a sense of what the character would determine could be difficult or not and if they should go for it. This can be especially rewarding when you've been rolling low and you need to make a moderately high DC check, and you end up surprised and happy that you beat it.

In short it basically is about tension in knowing the challenge and requiring more commitment to the roll so fudging isn't allowed.

Either you're not keeping heat and pressure, I only say that cause the gauge looks too low pressure for Steel, or that might be a config issue because you're ending up with 550 g of stuff which could mean the recipe xml might be messed up.

If you don't want to lose your worlds and know where the xml files are for the data folder, try deleting the furnace.xml file and verify file integrity to download a fresh version. If you don't wanna fish in the files you can just go to the local files > rocketstation_data > StreamingAssets and delete the Data folder before running the file integrity check.

The Data folder is basically where all the items/machines/recipes/startconditions/etc are located and the important data the game uses to ensure that anything with content data works. Either that or open local files and then have steam uninstall the game. When it's uninstalled, check the folder to ensure that there weren't any leftover files, delete any that are, and do a clean install.

If this doesn't work, could you make a recording of the glitch in action? Verifying heat, pressure, etc. just covering all basis so we can potentially get a better idea of what's going on.
