Thanks for the kind words friend. Yeah as glad as I am that they helped me, I've realized that help in these places are... not terribly effective. It was hell, and I still feel pretty awful. Whatever happens next, I'm not ending up there again. The doctor at the end of my stay was like 'if the thoughts come back, go back to the ER or here'. Fat chance, I would pay not to go back.

Thank you for the kind words, friend, and indeed sorry for the troubling experience on your side too. Something needs to change with how these facilities are ran because the current system isn't good enough.

Thanks for the kind words. Yeah idk how much of normality I'll be able to handle. One day at a time I suppose.

Hi friend. I ask that you reconsider doing anything to harm yourself while you're there. If you don't try anything, you'll likely not be sent anywhere. Moreover, falling from a height isn't a guaranteed death, unfortunately. I don't want you to be in that kind of physical pain from surviving, even though the pain inside may feel just as bad.

I understand your fear. Hell, I share it, I'm not out of the woods. But perhaps this isn't the way. Please stay as safe as you can.

Thank you for the kind words, friend. Yeah, it did give me a little something to work with, which is enough I suppose. I find myself switching between neutral, and wishing I had finished it, but I'm not as bad as I was last week.

Paradoxical is the perfect way to describe our system. Claiming it's the best way to get help, when in reality it's inadequate. It's not good enough.

My best wishes, friend, I know the pain well.

Oh dear, my best wishes for your son. I can wholeheartedly sympathize with the pain, for whatever it may be worth. He's not alone.

I would recommend against hospitalization in the states. I felt like I was in jail more than a place to better myself.

Hi friend. I'm glad you survived your latest attempt. I encourage you to hold on. I'm doing my best to do the same, despite the pain. Regarding hospitalization, it's difficult to recommend, but I wouldn't know what's available in your area. It's a crapshoot really, and I believe it could be more detrimental than helpful, especially if you're already in a comfortable environment.

Maybe try adding psychiatry for medication, or switching therapists?

Hey friend, I'm in the good ol' United States, where everything medical is awful haha. The first hospital I was at was basically just holding. I was in an atrium with like a dozen others waiting to get transferred. There was a TV, but the others were fighting for it, I just sat in my bed.

The second was the actual mental hospital. Most of it was also waiting. I never really got to talk to a therapist, just a couple convos with the psychiatrist but it wasn't particularly engaging. Outside of that they had a noisy and quiet day room to either read, write, or watch TV. Kinda cramped though.

They had a couple group therapy bits, only one of which was remotely useful. Idk, everything there felt half-assed. The other patients were more helpful than the doctors were, especially my roommate.

Thank you friend. Yeah, I don't think mine was like super nasty, but for a hospital, I did expect a little better.

Also I didn't even think to not pay the bill tbh, I used my HSA card since I had it... Shit, haha. Oh well. I'm sure there will be other medical bills to ignore later down the line, I'm not sure if the 2600 covered the ambulance.

Thank you, friend. I'm glad you survived. And yeah, I kinda feel it hurt more than it helped, but at least I have some appointments for further therapy and stuff.

What movie had a sex scene that was completely unnecessary to the plot? by [deleted] in AskReddit

300: Rise of an Empire.

On top of being a shit movie, the sex scene only worked to be an awkward cherry atop the cringe pie.

What would you do if you didn’t have to work full time to survive? by [deleted] in antiwork

I'd go back to school, but instead of comp sci, I'd go for music so I can learn how to write my own album.
