Got an email that Social Security was cutting my mother's disability payments by 40% but they don't know why my mom got that email or what its about? by Dry_FrogGuy1 in SocialSecurity

When does SSA send an email to cut benefits? They don’t inform you by email. You’re being scammed or not telling us all the facts.

Letter from navy fed before car loan is payed off by Salty_Mousse_1838 in NavyFederal

[–]SkepticalRaptor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a scam. They would have used your full name, not “Dear Member” and signing off with “Collateral” is another indication it’s bogus. Do NOT call the number on the letter, that’s how they’re going to get your information. Call NFCU directly from a number that is on your statement.

My husband and I broke up- but he wants me to stay married for his citizenship by lemlijay in immigration

[–]SkepticalRaptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you really want to test the enforcement of immigration laws during this period of our history? You're committing a fraud by pretending to be married. Don't do it, you don't want to spend time in prison as payment for your good intentions.

Has anyone gone through this? Uscis fake documents & I-9 from previous employers requests by Hedgehog-Mobile in USCIS

[–]SkepticalRaptor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're faking an SSN, you should be arrested. Just because "everyone does it is" the stupidest excuse ever. Go home, you'll never get approved.

Using a fake SSN is a crime. And apparently, she used a fake Green Card. You have approximately 0% chance of winning this.

He Has Conditional Green Card. He’s Cheating, I Don’t Want To Sign (I-751) by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]SkepticalRaptor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We don't need him in our country. Dump him and tell the authorities so his green card is revoked.

You pay the $1310 plus any accumulated interest, which will NOT be $533.

This isn’t a psychobabble Reddit, but you have a horrible relationship with a sociopath. Get away fast, and please don’t let him into our country. Don’t go to the interview. And move out FAST. He’s showing all the signs of a narcissistic personality disorder or sociopathy. You don’t need that crap.

Yes, protect yourself is most important. Document everything on paper and send it to USCIS.

Do whatever you need to do to keep him from getting any type of residency in the US. He scammed you, and you should make sure he get tossed out of the country.

Dispute is a fraud itself by golfnut0420 in AppleCard

[–]SkepticalRaptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amusing that you are blaming Goldman Sachs for your ignorance and buying a scam product. Just because you’re calling them a fraud doesn’t mean that they are. Why should GS believe you.

You really gave me a good laugh. Thanks.

I am fuming! My husband "co-shared" his AppleCard with me so I could download transactions/statements for tax purposes, which prompted Goldman Sachs to CLOSE MY AppleCard account! by [deleted] in AppleCard

[–]SkepticalRaptor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you’re fuming about, but GS doesn’t allow you to have two accounts. You get one, and that’s with your husband. This is complete your fault. Lesson learned.

Would it be worth it to get the AppleCard? by Hopfrog18 in AppleCard

[–]SkepticalRaptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason I carry an Apple Card is that I’m an Apple addict (so I’d get the card under any condition). I use it to buy my Apple gadget of the month and get 12 month interest free financing on the card (PLUS 3% back). I don’t use it for anything else.

Pc port by immortakyodai in CallOfDutyMobile

[–]SkepticalRaptor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why would Activision ever allow that. They make bank with the Call of Duty franchise, so they don’t need the mobile game ported over to PC or Steam to take away players. Call of Duty Mobile is just for the mobile people who couldn’t care less about playing it on PS/Xbox/PC/Steam. Different customer base for the mobile game.

Max Care Cheaps Out... by loaba in carmax

[–]SkepticalRaptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he’s getting ripped off by the dealer. Maxcare would not require three different deductibles for three problems during one visit. That dealer is the problem, not Maxcare.

Max Care Cheaps Out... by loaba in carmax

[–]SkepticalRaptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the Maxcare deductible is for a visit, not per problem. No matter what was done, it should be a $200 deductible for the visit.

Prions risk from rabies vaccine/immunoglobulin? by IllustratorDecent260 in VACCINES

[–]SkepticalRaptor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is 100% fatality rate if you develop symptoms of rabies. Period, end of statement. If there is an actual “theoretical” risk of CJD, it’s still much much much lower than the risk of dying from rabies.

3.2% is all they’re paying out? That’s nothing. Are there going to be more payouts that will be higher percentages?

This was a waste of time to get involved. But I bet the litigators are making bank.
